Friends of Inti Wara Yassi supports the work of the Communidad Inti Wara Yassi (CIWY) by raising funds and awareness of their work. CIWY is a Bolivian organisation created in defence of human and animal rights, and environmental justice. It manages three separate refuges for wild animals in different parts of the Bolivian Amazon and is devoted to the education of environmental awareness.

We are concerned with the preservation, development and restoration of the Dean Forest Railway, together with the education of the public in the history of the railways in the Forest of Dean, and education in skills pertinent to the maintenance and operation of a heritage railway. The charity's objects are to promote the Christian Orthodox faith to benefit the public in England and Wales and abroad and particularly the Greek Orthodox community by the relief of poverty sickness and distress.
