Marafiki Trust raises funds in the UK to support vulnerable children and their families through established charitable organisations in Kenya. These include a drop-in centre which provides ongoing physical, emotional and educational support for children identified as being at risk of finding themselves on the streets, and a centre which supports children with cerebral palsy, and their parents.

COUNSELLING SERVICES + PEMBS BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP.

The Friends raise funds to provide amenities & equipment to benefit patients & staff at North Cambs Hospital & associated homes & clinics in Wisbech. The Friends are anxious to assist with maintaining & where possible improving upon facilities at the hospital and help with the provision of equipment that otherwise would not be available.

Raising funds by means of Donations, Social Events and Running Tea Bar for patients&staff and then donating the money raised to Abergele Hospital for the purchase of equipment

Fundraising to provide bursaries for new and existing pupils at Collegiate School

Our charity provides educational and recreational opportunities for our children and young people with special needs and disabilities, over and above that which is statutorily provided. We raise money for specific projects that enhance our provision for our students and offer them the best opportunities.

Raising funds to purchase, hire and operate a vehicle or vehicles for transporting aged and/or disabled persons within the area of benefit.Promoting and developing a new or improved life for such disabled persons who through no fault of their own are more or less housebound.

Fundraising

Raise funds for the benefit of Crowborough Hospital, its patients and staff; maintain a hospital shop, operate a Social Day Service at the Hospital Day Centre, and provide transport through 2 wheelchair accessible vehicles utilising volunteer drivers.

The charity raises money for use in the hospital to provide extra equipment and other items for the benefit of both the patients and staff.

The charity engages in 2 activities: 1) raising funds within the UK and 2) creating businesses in Western Kenya that will allow the Children?s Centre to become sustainable for its day-to-day running costs. The centre cares for around 300 orphans and needy children, providing primary and secondary education. The children live on site or with extended local family groups and are fed and cared for.

The principal activity is that of a charitable fund raising organisation offering services so that Chinese people can be taught Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.

Manage and maintain the Marlow Bottom Playing fields and Play area. Raise Funds to do so and to enhance the play area. Main fund raising activity is an outdoor music concert in September and a fireworks display in November.

Currently we focus on the delivery of eleven main services and programmes. Our involement in infrastructure planning for the sector centres on the membership of trustees and senior staff on a range of planning and representative bodies. We provide direct services around finances, payroll, accounting, independent examination, training courses and fundraising to the sector across Northamptonshire.

The Grove Pre-School caters for 30 children aged 3+ 4 years, 5 mornings per week and 3 afternoons(offer 30hours entitlement). We also run a toddler group catering for 25 children per week, We fundraise for our equipment and employ 5 members of staff.

The Charity maintains and lets the property known as Bow Village Hall, it is used on a regular basis by various organisations including Pre-School Playgroup, Parochial Church Council, Scouts, Short Mat Bowling, Local History Society, Bow Water Works Committee, Parish Council and various health & fitness classes.The building is also let to individuals for private functions & fund raising events.

We raise money through local fundraising activities, consistent with the aims of Rotary international, and provide human resources, to assist the poor and needy and to support local educational activities.
