Volunteer led toddler group for people in and around the village of Goosnargh

We are a small local charity run entirely by volunteers. We provide blind and partially sighted people with a monthly audio magazine. our aim is to provide a variety of general-interest magazine articles together with a selection of factual and news-related items. By making full use of the Royal Mail 'Articles for the Blind' service we are able to provide this facility without any charge.

We run a Parent and Toddler Group in our local village. This takes place on a Monday between 9:30am - 11:30am to support local parents / carers / childminders and grandparents of children of pre-school age (0-4). Accompanying adults are required to stay with their child(ren); the organisers / volunteers do not hold supervisory responsibility.

Girlguiding enables girls and young women fulfil their potential to take an active and responsible role in society through a programme of activities led by trained volunteer leaders.

The 'Friends' exist to promote Youth Music at all levels of ability and attainment and is run by a committee of volunteers who work closely with the West Glamorgan County Music Service. We help to provide financial assistance for ventures in youth music. We also provide practical assistance in the form of stewarding at concerts and organising refreshments at the County Music Centres and Courses.

It is run entirely by local volunteers and its most common services are for elderly or unwell people - such as lifts to and from medical appointments, shopping. METN maintains product quality by monitoring outputs, service of equipment, and reviewing alternative procedures. WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE CREATIVE PLAY OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND YOUNG VOLUNTEERS CONTINUE TO BE THE DRIVING FORCE. COUNTRYSIDE AND SEA SIDE VISITS, OVER NIGHT CAMPING AND RESIDENTIAL ACTIVITY HAVE BEEN HUGELY BENEFICIAL TO PROMOTING HEALTH AND WELL BEING AND WE CONTINUE TO PROMOTE INCLUSIVE WORK SENSITIVE TO THE NEEDS OF THE INDIVIDUAL CHILD OR YOUNG PERSON.

We produce an audio version of our local weekly newspaper, The Wallingford Herald, and other community magazines. Volunteers meet each week to read articles onto digital media which are distributed the next day to up to 40 people with visual or reading difficulties. Each registered listener is provided by the charity with an audio player to listen the recorded news.

Support & Advice to the elderly, including a weekly lunch club, volunteer transport service & neighbourhood social activities.

Programme of weekly meetings and other events for Rainbows (5-7yrs), Brownies (7 - 10yrs), Guides (10 - 14yrs) and Rangers (14+), all led by trained volunteers.

The Friends provide volunteers to carry out research and conservation, demonstrate rural crafts and help with schools' educational visits and museum outreach. They help financially with the acquisition of objects, improvement of visitor facilities and collection displays.
