Healthwatch Salford is the independent consumer champion for health and social care in Salford. We exist to ensure that the people of Salford, their voices and experiences, are at the heart of health and social care provision.Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers listen to what people like about local health and care services, and what could be improved.

We use horses to provide remedial & therapeutic sessions on a daily basis for disabled adults & children from Ipswich & East Suffolk area.By providing the opportunity to ride &/or carriage drive health & wellbeing is much improved.Our volunteer instructors work closely with Physiotherapists, Doctors & other health professionals to help our clients gain the maximum benefits from our activities.

We have general volunteering opportunities 4 days a week, growing produce and ornamental flowers organically, and encouraging wildlife in a previously unused piece of land. Manchester People First is a self advocacy service for learning disabled adults based in Manchester. We provide services to our members to promote speaking up, rights and choices and we also offer an accessible information service. We also work with carers, professionals and statutory organistions to raise awareness of Learning Disabled issues and host volunteer and student placements.

We are a charity run by one paid co-ordinator and six and volunteers with an overall executive committee.
