Wessex Community Action is established to "...promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the community in the administrative area covered by Wiltshire Council & the Borough of Swindon & its neighbourhood Bristol & counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset & Dorset..., in particular the advancement of education, the furtherance of health & the relief of poverty, distress & sickness."

The Charity is the umbrella organisation for the Voluntary and Community Sector in Barking & Dagenham, providing information, advice and development support, and facilitating partnership development. The Charity promotes social cohesion, liaising with statutory, private and other strategic bodies to ensure that all local communities are fully consulted and included in all relevant initatives.

We provide support for disadvantaged families with children up to eighteen years old. Volunteers visit their allocated families in their own home on a regular basis providing friendship, support & practical assistance. Group activities for parents & children are run in different venues & often in conjunction with other agencies. We also run a Child Contact Centre for absent parents.

WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY CENTRE SERVING BEVERLEY AND SURROUNDING AREA. OUR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE A FREE ADVICE SERVICE, A PRE-SCHOOL / OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB, A HOLIDAY CLUB, A YOUTH CLUB, COMMUNITY GROUPS FOR ALL AGES, A CREDIT UNION BRANCH, A HOUSING PROJECT , A COMMUNITY PANTRY AND VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES.

The daily activities of the charity are closely aligned to its goals and its policies and include:-. Conducting Christian meetings Running community projects including a playgroup and caf+-? Organising activities and groups Raising money for overseas missions Working closely with other Christian organisations.

We run Irish themed events online and in person, as well as Tea Cake Club's and have the following projects. Advice and Advocacy, Elders Outreach, Carers Support, Volunteers project, Out & About project & Memory Services project.

The principal activities of the charity are to offer a free and confidential support service for women providing advice, information, counselling, volunteering and social activities and educational courses.

Fund raising for whole school initiatives

Volunteer Centre Dorset commits to promote, support and develop volunteering for all in Dorset.

Fund Raising is mainly carried out via a Charitable Ball in memory of Axentis Michael

To raise funds to benefit homeless people and those in housing need and in particular, those cared for by Riverside Care and Support (formerly English Churches Housing Group)

Partnership working in prisons & the community; providing volunteer mentors for people involved in the criminal justice system, supporting them holistically to change behaviour and reduce harm to the community; recruiting training and supporting community members to volunteer; delivery of mentoring service; identifying appropriate specialised services for referral; applications to grant funding.

The Friends provide services within the hospital to enhance the patients' stay. It also buys equipment for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. It does this through various fundraising activities throughout the year.

We provide a culturally and linguistically appropriate legal advice service for the residents of Manchester, particularly in the wards of Cheetham and Crumpsall. We provide quality assured advice in the social welfare legal categories of welfare benefits, debt, housing, and immigration (level one). We support residents to access other local services and run a volunteer development programme.

We deliver services in areas of deprivation in Gloucestershire. Current activities : Money Advice Services, General welfare benefits advice, Community education, Learning disability well-being centre, and programmes that increase employability by learning practical skills i.e. landscaping, carpentry, painting etc. We accept volunteers in service areas above to enhance skills.

The Charity's aim is the creation of a permanent music foundation to support the Lincoln Cathedral Choir, organists and organ for the benefit of future generations.Strategies and activities include raising funds through regular giving, one-off donations, profit making ticketed events, legacies, trust applications, promtional literature to past and potential donors, and media coverage.

To raise funds for general charitable projects by means of using the contacts of the Wasps rugby family and in particular through events and general activities of former Wasps players from both the professional and amateur eras.

The charity raises funds to house and care for lost and unwanted dogs in the area. It holds a non-destruction policy and will look after every dog until a suitable, loving home is found.

HOME-START OFFERS FREE SUPPORT, FRIENDSHIP AND PRACTICAL HELP TO FAMILIES WITH AT LEAST ONE CHILD UNDER FIVE WHO MAY BE UNDERGOING PRESSURES SUCH AS LONELINESS AND ISOLATION, DEPRESSION OR SEVERAL PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS. FAMILIES ARE VISITED REGULARLY IN THEIR OWN HOMES BY VOLUNTEERS WHO ALL HAVE EXPERIENCE OF PARENTING AND KNOW HOW HARD THINGS CAN BE.

Phoenix Social Enterprise Ltd provides employment, education and training opportunities in the UK and Europe. We also conference facilities and rented offices, focus on building the capacity of individuals and organisations underpinned by a philosophy of equality and human rights. We cater for people aged 16-65, people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, but not exclusively.

Borderlands is a community charity that works with asylum seekers and refugees living in the inner city area of Bristol. These people are very vulnerable because they are chronically impoverished, suffer discrimination and are excluded within society. We offer advice, help and hope and rely on volunteers for the delivery of the majority of our welfare support and education services.

The Bradley Lowery Foundation supports children and families fundraising for treatment and equipment not available on the NHS. We do this by supporting fundraising campaigns allowing the families to use the Charity number to receive donations from businesses and other organisations. We also issue grants where applicable.We are also building a holiday home for families to make memories.
