The main areas of charitable activity are the provision of overseas relief through the support of education and community projects, mainly in Zambia. We work with charitable organisations or trusts who can identify potential beneficiaries and oversea and manage funds on our behalf.

With the shared goal and desire to see an end to global poverty, SWIDN plays an active role supporting the charitable and voluntary organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty in any part of the world by providing them with advice, information and training and services to enable them to pursue their charitable purposes and improve the efficiency and management of their resources.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES, OVERSEA AIDS/FAMINE RELIEF, EDUCATION/TRAINIG, SPORT/RECREATION

Crescent Aid is an international relief and development charity which is working to alleviate pain and suffering around the world. Established in 2005 we are an independent NGO and provide aid and assistance to the most needy throughout the world.

The Club has an annual programme of events, within the Southwold and district area, with the aim of raising funds for charitable purposes. It considers applications for grants and support, mainly within the locality. It also supports international aid through the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

The trusts objects include wide charitable purposes at the discretion of the trustees. There are no restricted or endowment funds. The policies are almost exclusively to benefit health, education, arts, culture, overseas aid and general charitable purposes.

The Peter Harrington Foundation makes grants and donations focused on advancing the education of new entrants into the rare book trade, charitable causes close to the rare book trade and giving grants to charities that provide emergency or essential relief and support to vulnerable individuals and families. We operate in the UK, primarily in London, but also support national and international aid.

The Popda Society is currently supporting in the provision of community and medical services to third world countries. The charity will continue to seek opportunities to further alleviate distress and poverty.

The charity concerns itself with supporting projects in developing countries to do with education, the alleviation of poverty, care of children, human rights, promoting sport and the environment. The charity operates alongside the Projects Abroad group of companies which arranges worthwhile volunteering experiences in the developing world and it supports the projects they are involved with.

Provides technical assistance and training for selected overseas Churches in a variety of media related projects. The Trust occasionally makes modest grants to overseas Churches for selected humanitarian relief projects.

We raise support through a child sponsorship programme (regular giving), mainly for the education of children at the Gnana Deepam school in Tamil Nadu, India. Funds are also raised for specific capital projects associated with this school. In Nepal we provide hot school meals, a school bus and educational resources for a primary school in the slums of Kathmandu.
