The provision of and maintenance of the Village Hall is for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Bucknell and the surrounding rural area, without distinction of political, religious and other opinions. It is used for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreational and leisure time activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the local community.

THE PROVISION OF POSITIVE ACTIVITIES FOR RURAL YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10 TO 28

Fundraising for a small rural school. Activities include: Organised Adult and Junior Run

Provide meet place for WI, Young Farmers, choir practice, senior groups etcHold indoor bowls - School plays etcEducational groups.

It provides a Parish venue for the following activities :-YWC meetings, Parish Council meetings,Bowls Club,Childrens Dance Classes,Theatre events,Church events,Social venues ( Weddings,Funerals ,Christenings and Parties), Government Elections and Craft Fairs.It is the only public building except for the church in this rural parish.

The taking of Children with mental disorders, terminally ill and special needs on outings to the seaside,countryside,plays,films,pantomines and supply transport needs.We also provide finance to any school, home, hospice or individual child for any object the local councils do not provide, for special wheelchair, hand bells, or audio and visual equipment.Also money to other charities.

The charity operates in the rural community developing the members knowledge and experience in various aspects of their life.

To educate and train the general public with the keeping of Vintage Vehicles whether they be motor driven or steam, traction engines, and all items of machinery, to include agriculture, horticulture and stationary engines, motor cycles, pedal cycles and all modes of transport.

Group of young people who meet on a weekly basis and have a varied programme of activities.

Erwood YFC is open to all young people aged 10 to 28 years of age. It offers a balanced programme which includes, education & training, community projects, sport, drama, public speaking, cookery, rural crafts and much more.
