The Yorkshire and Humber Association of Civic Societies (YHACS) is the distinct voice of the Civic Society Movement in the Yorkshire and Humber region. With respect to the River Quaggy and its tributaries QWAG:(a) identifies and promotes opportunities for restoration of the river corridor.(b) monitors developments affecting the river corridor to ensure improvements are achieved.(c) promotes an understanding of urban rivers as community assets.(d) informs a wider audience of our work as an example of community-led regeneration.

The Charity is named to honour Fred Roche who did much to create Milton Keynes. It promotes high quality planning, urban design and landscaping in new urban developments. The Foundation makes grants to qualifying persons or groups of persons to advance their education (social and physical ),but not for post graduate studies.Grants are restricted to persons under the age of 25 and who are permanent residents in Ribbleton, in the City of Preston, the Parishes of Goosnargh, Grimsargh, Haighton, Longridge and Whittingham and the former Urban District of Fulwood.

Ross Educational Foundation offers grants to students up to the age of 25 whose homes are within the boundaries of Ross Urban or Ross Rural Parish Council.
