Meeting needs of financially excluded in and around Sheffield area. FISY incorporates projects which meet this aim, including a Money Adviser and a Financial Capability project. Currently includes administering grants on behalf of Sheffield City Council's Employability Project.

Our activities support 'The prevention and relief of poverty among people living in the UK and South America through the provision of training; education and employment; consultation; health education awareness; empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills to prevent and protect against poverty and major health issues.

We exist to promote education and training opportunities, the personal development of young people and improve health and well being(a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills (b) advancing education; (c) relieving unemployment;(d) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare

The provision of training and work experience to learning disabled young people and adults in small groups within a bakery setting. The experience given covers the production of baked goods, together with related matters such as food hygiene, first aid, together with sales and marketing at public events.

To encourage and enable older people, no longer in full-time paid employment, to help each other to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experience.

We provide Islamic education to the local Black Asian Minority Ethnic Community (BAME) living in small heath and surounding area, Birmingham, West Midlands. We also provide IAG to the BAME community to those who are unemployed, and in receipt of welfare benefits.We have place of worship and we carry out 5 times a day prayer 7 days a week.

Provision of educational and recreational activities in the Tewkesbury area for those no longer in full time employment. This is done mainly through small self help groups.

Plateful Cafe empowers refugees to obtain mainstream employment in the catering industry by providing hospitality training and employment in a cafe.The cafe also runs a shop selling products made by local refugees and delivers monthly community dinners.Plateful Cafe also caters for outside events and offers private dining in people homes.Asylum-seekers volunteer at the cafe.

TO ADVANCE THE LEARNING AND SKILLS OF YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN ENGLAND THROUGH PROVIDING TRAINING, VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES AND WORK EXPERIENCE IN DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCTION.

TO WORK WITH ARTS ORGANISATIONS TO FUND JOBS FOR YOUNG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE IN THE ARTS SECTOR.

THE RELIEF OF CHARITABLE NEED OF HOMELESS EX-SERVICE PERSONNEL, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF CLOTHING, FOOD AND REHABILITATION, INCLUDING ADVICE ON POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER, ALCOHOLISM, DRUG ABUSE, HOUSING AND EMPLOYMENT

Our charity is democratic, self funded and a self managed organisation which exists to provide education & leisure activities for men & women, no longer in full time employment. Activities are organised entirely by members who both learn from & teach each other. At present nearly 70 groups meet to discuss & learn about a wide variety of subjects.

Objectives of U3A are 1. to advance the education of the public, in particular the education of older people no longer in full time gainful employment in Whitwick and District and its surrounding locality. 2.The provision of facilities for leisure time and recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the above persons in the interests of their social welfare.

CANVEY ISLAND U3A IS A SELF-HELP, SELF-MANAGED LIFELONG LEARNING CO-OPERATIVE FOR OLDER PEOPLE NO LONGER IN FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT. WE HOLD A MONTHLY MEETING FOR OUR MEMBERS. MEMBERS SHARE LEARNING EXPERIENCES IN A WIDE RANGE OF INTEREST GROUPS TO PURSUE LEARNING NOT FOR QUALIFICATION BUT FOR FUN

Equip is currently working with the Rwandan Ministry of Education and the Districts of Bugesera and Nyarugenge to provide good quality, affordable vocational education designed to increase the ability of young people to gain employment or start their own small businesses. Equip assists with the provision of business skills training and start-up finance for eligible young people.
