BRC's main activity is to provide an open access drop-in facility, providing Information Advice & Guidance (IAG), help with CVs and jobsearch, as well as learning opportunities in basic skills, ESOL, IT and book-keeping. We also provide counselling and help with benefits, housing and other issues.

Advice and Guidance, Health and fitness sessions, Job Search, Youth club, Cultural activities, Islamic and Civil Marriages services, ESOL & Arabic GCSE & language classes, IT learning suite, Family mediation, Friday Sermon and prayers, Lectures and awareness, Skills development & Confidence building programmes, Bereavement support, Third party reporting centre, Asylum seekers and refugees Support.

We have been offering group support to survivors of torture - offering group counselling in their mother tongue, english classes and therapeutic art classes, as well as trying to enroll them in existing services.

A range of activiites to support local people, including Stay and Play session, kids club, youth sessions, mini movers and holiday scheme for children and young people. Provide a job club, pay as you feel cafe, Talk English class and health and social care course. Work in partnership with Big Swing, CHAS@St Vincents and BMDC Youth Service. A weekly coffee morning and gentle exercise class.

The main function of the charity is to provide support for Christian Worship by it's members and to serve the community as an outward expression of that worship. The act of serving the community is very broad including english lessons, toddler play groups, elderly shared meal times and youth groups.

Pendle New Neighbours supports refugees and asylum seekers living in Pendle by: Advice, support, advocacy, interpreting, translating and signposting to other services. Trips and visits.Relief of poverty or financial hardship by making small grants.Social and recreational events in the local community.

We work with primary schools in Malawi to improve the literacy levels of thousands of underprivileged children across the country. CharChar trains Literacy Support Specialist teachers (qualified Malawian graduate teachers) who volunteer to teach for one year at CharChar supported government primary schools. These teachers deliver phonics centred English lessons daily.

NATECLA is the national forum and professional organisation for teachers of English for adult speakers of other languages (ESOL) and community languages in the UK. We provide high quality training for teachers through conferences, webinars, online forums and a journal.
