The advancement of the development and education of young people in accordance with Christian principles and practice. This currently takes the form of providing childcare provision for children before and after school and throughout the day as a private nursery.

We run a rural Buddhist Retreat Centre, offering residential retreats on Buddhist meditation and Buddhist teaching. We also run weekends and courses in city based Buddhist Centres on request. Local schools ask us to talk to their pupils about Buddhism and some come to us for an weekend experience of retreat living. Our main teachers are all ordained Buddhists with the Triratna Community.

Time to Talk West Berkshire provides a confidential counselling service, free at the point of delivery, for young people aged 11 to 25 who are resident, in education, training, working or registered with a GP in West Berkshire. It provides counselling from its premises in Newbury, at some schools and through other outreach work, and runs courses.

Our charity supports mainstream education through provision of a homework club andGCSE prep workshops. However, our supplementary school teach Islamic religion, celebrate our cultureand activities to support mainstream education but equally promote good citizenship and good health forall. Passion for Learning is a unique charity recruiting adults from all walks of life who could bring their experiences, enthusiasm and skills to children struggling to read and learn. PfL provides assistance and support to mainly primary school age children to develop their reading and writing skills, and raising their aspirations through continual enrichment.

To provide grants for educational needs to young people under 25 and resident in the Lakes Parish, and to the voluntary schools (and to academies that were formerly voluntary schools) in the Lakes Parish. Grants may also be given to groups or organisations where the members satisfy the age and residence requirements. Considerable aid is given to young people with special needs.
