The Farmland Bird Aid Network provides supplementary feeding during the 'hungry gap' (Nov to May) to farmland birds to help increase their numbers across Oxfordshire. The network provides support to farmers and local land owners to create the habitat to increase the numbers and diversity of farmland birds across the region.

WOOLTON IN BLOOM CREATES AND MAINTAINS FLORAL PLANTERS AND HANGING BASKETS AND SUSTAINABLE PLANTING, WHICH CONSERVES WATER AND WILDLIFE HABITATS. THIS ENHANCES QUALITY OF LIVE IN WOOLTON, ATTRACTS VISITORS. ASSISTS THE ECONOMY. WOOLTON HAS WONBEST LARGE VILLAGE IN THE NORTH WEST 8 TIMES, A SILVER GILT AND 2 GOLD MEDALS IN THE NATIONAL BRITAIN IN BLOOM COMPETITION.

To assist/educate our members in the best possible practice in the craft of beekeeping. To keep members up to date with new procedures, and to encourage them to take basic beekeeping exams. To educate the public and provide facilities for this in the form of an Association Apiary. To give demonstrations to shool groups, etc.

The preservation, improvement and maintenance of the Weir and its riverside amenity for the use and enjoyment of the inhabitants of, and visitors to, the historic town of Wetherby.

The charity raises funds for conservation,wildlife and community projects in and around the Kasanka Trust National Park in N. Zambia. Recent projects include educational and healthcare schemes, anti-poaching activities, wildlife monitoring and introducing chilli fences to control elephant crop damage in local villages.

To continue the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the fen in perpetuity as a unique habitat for fauna and flora by providing and organising the stewardship and management that is required to achieve this preservation, using as necessary the payments provided for stewardship. Any excess funds to be used for charitable purposes.

Animal welfare and conservation of endangered species of wildlife. Donations have been made to charities specialising in animal welfare in Africa, the Far East and the UK and to general charitable causes

Currently The Charity is focussing on the biodiversity crisis. Organising a summer Festival in Newcastle upon Tyne annually entitled Art and Biodiversity Celebration. This used the SAGA methodology which is to combine Science Art Games and Action to develop a public and community response to Biodiversity. By action we understand creating an improvement to the biodiversity environment.

Sustainable Hayfield works with individuals & community organisations to promote sustainability in the parish of Hayfield. We have 5 working groups - energy, transport, food, waste (3Rs), and biodiversity. These groups run projects locally. We produce a quarterly newsletter for our 200 supporters and organise an annual Apple Day. We engage with local councils and our MP on environmental matters,

SHARE: Flitwick and Ampthill promotes the share, repair and re-use of products in the local area as a means of preventing and minimising waste disposal. This is predominantly through a Library of Things where people can borrow useful items and a Repair Cafe where items are repaired when possible. We bring local people together to share things and ideas about how to minimise impact on the planet.

Collect suitable household furniture that is saleable and might otherwise go to landfill. Monies raised is donated to national medical charities.

THE NATURAL BEEKEEPING TRUST AIMS TO PROMOTE AWARENESS OF SUSTAINABLE BEEKEEPING WHICH IS DETERMINED BY OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE ESSENTIAL NEEDS OF THE BEES. THE FOUNDERS OF THE TRUST BELIEVE THAT ENCOURAGING BEE GUARDIANSHIP AS WELL AS FOSTERING AN INTEREST IN ORGANIC/BIODYNAMIC AGRICULTURE AND GARDENING WILL MAKE A MAJOR CONTRIBUTION TO ENSURING THE LONG TERM HEALTH OF THE HONEYBEE.

To preserve the historical, architectural and constructional heritage that may exist in and around the parish of Shipton Gorge, Dorset in buildings (inc any structure or erection and any part of a building so defined) of particular beauty. For the protection and conservation of the environment in and around the parish of Shipton Gorge, Dorset for the benefit of the public.

Formed in 1998 through Agenda 21 to encourage allotment use in Harrow we are now a federation of 17 horticultural and local groups. Our plant sales, quiz suppers, BBQ and Horticultural Show during the year raise funds which have provided disabled toilets, recycling bays and secure storages on allotment sites.
