The Friends help to secure and promote the conservation and protection of Scadbury Park, Chislehurst, in the London Borough of Bromley. They promote its use as a place for quiet, informal recreation, enjoyment and study, help with practical conservation work through voluntary action, and monitor its plants, animals and wildlife habitats and maintain and improve its biodiversity.

To protect, conserve, maintain and the natural environment and other amenities in Petersham and its Environs

The group comprises volunteers from the Perranporth area. The Friends of Avonmouth is a Parent, Teacher and Friends charity which raises funds for the benefit of pupils at Avonmouth CE Primary School. They do this by arranging school fairs, recycling clothes, batteries and ink cartridges, amongst many other activities. Events are held within the school premises.

Smart Parks was founded to promote the protection of animals at risk from cruelty and the conservation of endangered species across all geographies in a wide number of ways, through the use of technology and technological flying systems. Using drones has enabled us to work to protect the rhino and elephant populations in Africa from illegal poaching activities.

Organises surveillance work to protect wildlife from illegal persecution. Undertake surveys to safeguard Badgers from coming to harm, prior to and after any development work. All setts and other wildlife across Hastings and Rother monitored on a regular basis. Advise property owners on wildlife issues (protected species). Maintain and enhance our three main pieces of land.

We have two aims: first to care for injured wild birds of prey. Our other purpose is educational; we visit schools and take a selection of our captive bred indigenous birds of prey. These we use to show the students the birds adaptations to their specific habitat and hunting requirements and to highlight the need for conservation and environmental awareness.

To education the public in arts and environmental sustainability through the arts and to encourage the public to participate in the said arts by commissioning an annual event to promote education for environmental sustainability and any other activities that promote its objectives.

1) Habitat creation in two fields to the north of Roborough Village in North-central Devon. The rewilding of this area to increase species number and diversity.2) The promotion of the theory of rewilding through open days, talks and other activities and the education of the public.3) Fundraising in order to acquire more land and facilitate the operation of the charity.

ACTIVIES FOR YEAR 07/08 INCLUDED FLY TYING COURSE AND PLANTING OF A FRUIT AND NUT HEDGE TO PROVIDE A WILD-LIFE HABITAT AND ALSO A WILLOW ARBOUR BENCH FOR PEOPLE TO ENJOY. WE HAVE ALSO BEEN WORKING ON WALKING LEAFLETS TO PROVIDE BOTH LOCALS AND VISITORS WITH CIRCULAR ROUTES THEY MAY WISH TO TAKE THROUGH OUR COUNTRYSIDE. WE ALSO HELD A BREATHING PLACES OPEN DAY AND TOOK PART IN THE VILLAGE GALA DAY

To advance the education of the public in conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and naturalenvironment, in particular but not exclusively, in relation to climate change and sea-level rise in Wales, including promoting study and research and publish the useful results. This will be facilitated through educational workshops, exhibitions, site specific artworks and competitions.
