St. Martin of Tours PCC has the responsibility of co-operating with the incumbent to promote in the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the church: pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. It also has maintenance responsibilities for St. Martin's Church and Churchyard, Church Hall, Pastoral Centre and Basildon Bell Tower.

Fundraising events to encourage participation in charitable work by the inhabitants of Puttenham and the surrounding area.Make educational grants to local students; Financial aid the elderly and infirm within Puttenham and nearby villages.Maintain and repair St Mary's church and churchyard and Cecilia Hall Puttenham.

The objects of Bradden Town Land Charity are:(i) The security and maintenance of and repairs to St Michael's Church in Bradden and its churchyard;(ii) The relief of the poor of the parish of Bradden;(iii) The maintenance of and repairs to Bradden Village Hall (formerly called the Bradden Reading Rooms):
