The principal charities and/or community services currently supported are Garden House Hospice for North Hertfordshire, Mary's Meals (Uganda), Home Start , and Disaster Relief generally.

We meet monthly from October to April on the first Thursday at 8.15pm when our aim is to promote, encourage & co-ordinate research into the history of the Eden Valley by means of talks & discussion. In summer we enjoy a guided footpath walk & a day & evening outing to places of historical interest. We publish two newsletters annually & occasionally booklets devoted to local history.

The Gleadless Valley Wildlife Trust is a local voluntary group working to care for and improve the green spaces of Gleadless Valley in Sheffield for the benefit of wildlife and people. We particularly concentrate our efforts towards the woodlands and larger green spaces in the valley.

The purpose of the Charity is to manage the land at 62 - 64 Woodplumpton Road, Woodplumpton. Currently this land is a community garden and the Trustees are responsible for maintenance, planting and arranging community events on the land.

The conservation protection and improvement of the natural environment of the wood known as Emery Down, in the parish of Basildon, Berkshire.Provision of a "woodland classroom" for use by local school children and descriptive boards to identify specific habitats, trees and plants within the wood, thereby broadening their knowledge and understanding of the natural world.

To hold, preserve and maintain the natural environment of the ancient woodland known as Bicknor Wood Maidstone, so that it remains permanently as a natural woodland to preserve a valuable wildlife habitat; accessible to the local community and the wider public as a space for their use and enjoyment.

To maintain the area known as Beckford Nature Reserve to the north of the village of Beckford, Worcestershire as a conservation area for use by the public and local residents.

Childrens' league football teams. Childrens' play area (swings, slide etc). Adult Cricket teams. Dog shows, garden fetes, various fundraising events.

Care and administration of Allotments

Croydon Contacts is a small charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Croydon to enjoy social activities in their local community. We run various events for members, staffed by volunteers & trustees, supported by carers & families. Events include Board Games; Bowling, Cinema & Lunch clubs; Summer day trips to local museums & parks; visiting local pantomimes & shows.

Maintenance of public outdoor recreational facilities in the parish of Barrowden

Maintenance of market cross, village green, church clock and a pump.

TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN CHURCHTOWN, SOUTHPORT AND ENVIRONS, BY THE RUNNING AND MANAGEMENT OF A COMMUNITY LIBRARY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAID RESIDENTS

Good neighbour scheme in Aldbourne & Baydon, Wiltshire. Helping people lead independent lives by driving them to surgery appointments, visit families, libraries, shopping etc. Help at home with small domestic or garden tasks, even dog walking.

General charitable purposes.

Our aim is to promote civic pride in Malmesbury by conserving its built environment, recording its history and maintaining the Riverwalk and Jubilee Garden. We co-operate with the Planning Authority to ensure policies are appropriate for the town and scrutinise & comment on planning applications.

To benefit the inhabitants of Farnham and its neighbourhood by the provision and maintanance of an open space , including gardens.Principal activity is the maintenance and enhancement of the Victoria Garden in Farnham

To provide an open recreational area for local residents and also for events of various kinds throughout the year. To provide local schools with the facilities to educate pupils in local flora and fauna and help in the celebration of national events under the direction of the local authority and the wishes of local residents. To provide community events in co-operation with local charities.

The Nelson Garden in Monmouth is located behind Monnow Street and can be accessed by a footpath from Monnow Street Car Park. Volunteer gardeners maintain the Garden on a weekly basis between March and November and it is open to the public three times a week during the summer. A committee organise fund-raising events throughout the year. The Nelson Garden is available for hire.

The Staffordshire Gardens and Parks Trust aims to record all valuable gardens and parks within the 'old' boundaries of Staffordshire. It seeks to encourage owners to conserve and manage these landscapes and to educate the people of Staffordshire to appreciate and value their garden heritage.
