Millennium Green, A Village open space

Monthly meetings for ladies of all ages with speakers about diversified subjects (eg ecology, nature, antiques, climate change etc). Fund raising for less fortunate women of the world. Outings to stately homes and gardens. Walking, scrabble, poetry, craft groups within our WI.

We are a charity social group which supports children and young adults who have Down Syndrome and their families.We hold group family sessions consisting of meet ups and activities such as dance, circus skills, discos and trips -winter wonderland, festivals, theme parks etc. We hold more of these sessions during the school holidays when our members are more socially isolated and places to visit

Burtersett Village Institute is a building in the centre of Burtersett next to the village green. The building can be hired for people to use as they wish, e.g. art displays, whist drives, childrens parties, etc. A village show is held annually to raise funds for the upkeep of the building. The building helps bring the community together as it is the only non-dwelling in the village.

The MTVCA seeks to conserve the environment in the Medlock and Tame river valleys and the surrounding districts both urban and rural by the preservation of natural and man-made features, the protection of flora and fauna and by the prevention of pollution and damage to amenities.It will maintain the house and grounds at Oaken Clough Terrace as the HQ of the Association and a wildlife garden.

Millennium Green provides facilities for informal recreation for all sectors of the local community, community events particularly involving children from the local primary schools. A large area of indigenous woodland has recently been planted under the auspices of the South Yorkshire Forest Project. Community planting of "Gift that Grows" trees donated under the carbon off-setting scheme.

Natural woodland used for outdoor pursuits by leader-led youth groups.

Provides an environmental green space and heritage and conservation site in the centre of Winscombe. The 5 acre site is open to all but is particularly benefits local people for peaceful recreation. It links with other paths in the parish and to other villages. The site is mostly managed by volunteer workparties made up of trustees supported by members of the community.

Demonstrate organic gardening. Grow plants and vegetables for sale. Provide a garden for the public to enjoy.

To provide Sports, Play and Recreational facilities for the people of Corwen and the surrounding area

Practical conservation management by volunteers on Wiltshire Nature reserves. We work on wildlife sites managed by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, the Woodland Trust, Natural England, the National Trust and private individuals. Sites may be meadow, downland, woodland or wetland. Activities are open to all.

We are a community Garden near to the centre of Chesterfield, where our volunteers meet, grow fruit and vegetables and enjoy the outdoor life in a sustainable way. Our plot was an acre of wasteland which we are bringing back into cultivation as we continue our activities.

To advance public education of the D-Day landings by Allied Forces in 1944 and the subsequent campaign to liberate Normandy, through the promotion of and contribution to the D-Day Memorial Garden and the Normandy Battle Museum in Caen, thereby also commemorating the landings, as well as the historical importance and sacrifices made.

Management of approx. two acres of allotments to provide income for distribution to elderly and poor residents of Norton sub Hamdon

The Friends of Gladstone Park organise activities to encourage interest in and use of the park such as expert-led walks and group activities. Additionally, there is a weekly gardening group whereby volunteers help to maintain the park, in particular the walled garden.
