Community council provides recreational facilities, a community hall and cemeteries. The charity relates only to the memorial gardens and hall. The community council makes grants to organisations, not the charity.

Researches and promotes sustainable, environmentally friendly horticulture, as practised at Knoll Gardens, through events, educational courses, masterclasses and publications.

The charity receives rent from allotments and uses the money primarily to give small donations to individuals experiencing problems. The money is also used to maintain the allotment site in good condition.

We aim to encourage the conservation and protection of the Dibbinsdale Nature Reserve by developing public interest in its unique habitat and maintaining an excellent and interesting environment where teaching recreation and training can take place.

The Community Garden provides opportunities for the people of all ages and abilities in the area to learn about and take part in growing vegetables and fruit in an environmentally friendly way. There are events and workshops taking place all through the year (such as pruning, making compost at home, sowing and planting vegetables), as well as the chance to become a regular volunteer,

Relieving either generally or individually persons resident in the Parish of Appledore who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

Provides allotment gardens for rent by parishioners to enable them to grow their own vegetables or flowers. Has developed an environmentally sustainable woodland area for the benefit and enjoyment of parishioners. Maintains the area in a manner that is good for the environment and wildlife. A surplus of income over expenditure can be offered as small grants to needy parishioners.

Community project working with individuals & families living on Robin Hood Gardens estate, this includes fundays, gardening activities & social & educational activities.

Our primary activity is the management of two pieces of open land in the village of Blaxhall, which are managed to encourage biodiversity and conserve the environment, and to allow public access for recreation and leisure. Part of the land is made available to local people for cultivation as low-cost allotments. We also organise regular litter picks and engage in local tree- and hedge-planting.
