The Charity derives it's sole income from rent obtained from the lease of a 3 acre parcel of land in Shirley that was gifted to the Parish in the mid C19th to be used as allotments for the labouring poor. The allotments fell into disuse in the 1960's and, since then, the land has been leased for grazing - with the income paid into a charitable account to be used to relieve poverty in the Parish.

For the purpose of Allotment Gardens and that the land should not be used for any other purpose than as allotment gardens for working men.

Rent from Land ownership received and donations are made to older parishioners, mostly & single/widowed at Christmas time and to students in the parish in full time education.

Millennium Green public open space

The Queen Elizabeth Parks Project is dedicated to giving people the opportunity to become involved in conservation of the wildlife and supporting Rangers who work in protected areas. Our work focusses upon the Queen Elizabeth Country, UK and the Queen Elizabeth National Uganda, but is not exclusive to these sites.

The objects of the charity are:a) For the public benefit, the preservation, conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment and biodiversity of St John's Wood and St Helena's Church to encourage others to engage with, understand, enjoy and protect the woodland and church site.b) in pursuance of the above, to advance the education of the public.

The charity raises money throuh a series of social events such as quiz nights and garden parties

To provide and maintain allotments in the local area

ACT serves the people of Anlaby Village, Anlaby Common, Anlaby Park and Rokeby Park (West Hull). We are working with local groups and stakeholders on projects including a community garden, to help us bring communities together and address issues affecting children, families, the lonely and isolated in this often overlooked part of Hull and East Yorkshire.

Gardening/Grazing

We are all volunteers who exist to encourage the public to learn about & use the Victorian Ward Jackson Park in Hartlepool. We hold three events a year- a December Christingle; an Easter Trail; and a Summer fun day. These events can have craft workshops, music, fairground rides, 'bouncy castles', face painter & so on. We unveiled the Stairway to Heaven Memorial in Bethnal Green Gardens on 17 December 2017. It honours the 173 people that died and over 90 injured, plus the Emergency Services personnel, involved the Bethnal Green tube shelter disaster 3rd March 1943 - the worst civilian disaster of the 2nd World War. We continue to raise funds to help with maintenance and ongoing educational talks, etc.
