To provide a community hall.The centre is undergoing restoration and when re-opened later in 2014 we will be organising functions and events to bring people into the town and the centre, such as Cinema, Theatre, Folk Clubs, live music events, artistic exhibitions and community information services, training and educational events.

General Charitable Purposes to serve the Local Community

Small village hall owned and used by Wheathampstead Women's Institute. It is is let out to other small organisations in the local area and occasionally for private usage to offset running costs.

The Charity maintains and runs the hall which is used by local people for activities such as WI, Children's film club, Local History Group, Bridge, Painting, Yoga and Pilates. Plays and pantomimes are performed as well as other entertainments and interests. It is also hired for wedding and funeral receptions and other events. The Post office uses the hall annexe twice a week to serve local people.

Lavendon Village Hall is the focal point for many of the village activities. It is the meeting venue for the youth club, the old peoples welfare association, short mat bowls club, weekly whist drives and other private and fund raising activities. The trustees are totally responsible for the upkeep of the building and for maintaining financial viability.

The purpose of the Gwernymynydd Village Centre is to provide recreational facilities for residents of Gwernymynydd and the surrounding areas to enjoy. The charity is composed of trustees who are resident in or have a connection to Gwernymynydd. The charity has taken a 25-year lease from Flintshire County Council to manage and run the Village Centre independently.

To provide a building for the use of community groups and for local residents of all ages.

Main Hall seating approx 200 people with stage and bar, licensed for music and dancing. 3 smaller meeting rooms all with disabled access and wc. Wifi. 2 kitchens, Grounds: open access,football pitch, tennis court, children's play area .Weekly doctors surgery, 3x weekly cafe, various regular groups; guide movement, yoga, pilates, WI, youth club, etc

Newhall village hall is run for the Newhall community to enable local groups to run classes such as dancing, slimming and bingo. The hall can also be hired for parties and other local events.

The trustees administer and maintain the Walkhampton Memorial Hall for the benefit of the village and surrounding area.

The Village Hall is hired out to various groups throughout the year for children and adults, and to numerous individuals for wedding receptions, children's parties etc.

Staged productions, Film Nights, Village Fete, Toddlers and various other clubs, Band practise, parties and wedding receptions.
