Miss Alice Foakes gave the Foakes Hall to the town in 1934. It now provides a range of well-maintained and varied facilities at moderate prices (available on request) for the local community. The PCC has responsibility for promoting in the parish, the whole mission of the church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. Through the Parish Share system, St Matthew's provides financial support to less wealthy churches in the Diocese, but must do better.The PCC has maintenance responsibilities for the church with its adjoining meeting room, and also for Stainbeck Community Hall.

We run Peaslake village hall, a well-maintained facility with modern kitchen & toilets (inc. disabled), stage & dressing rooms. In a quiet Surrey village, the hall is used by village organisations (eg. Badminton club, Peaslake players, Community Fund) and is excellent for parties, pilates, wedding receptions, charity sales & similar events.

The PCC is responsible for co-operating with the vicar in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the Church. As followers of Jesus, we believe our mission is to build God's kingdom through making disciples in Tisbury and beyond. The PCC is also specifically responsible for the maintenance of the church building and a church hall.

Provision of Community facilities for social,cultural,education purposes

We are a pre-school located in St Augustines Church Hall in Belvedere educating 2-4 year old children. We boost funds with various themed days and photographers. We help other charities, raising money for Children in Need, Barnardos and the NSPCC. We also help our local church by selling raffle tickets, and by collecting non-perishable foods for Harvest Festival for the local food bank.
