The object of the Charity shall be the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants o the Parish of Horton without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, included use for meetings, lectures and classes, and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Provides a Village Hall for use by diverse groups

We are a management committee for our village hall. The hall is available for local clubs and organisations to use 7 days a week both during the day and evenings.

The charity provides a well maintained village hall available for hire by local clubs & organisations. Regular users include Brownies, Art classes, WI, Garden Club, Bowling, Keep fit, Tia Chi, Zumba, Choir and Band practices. Taekwanda for kids, club fairs and polling station. Plus a venue for private parties. The hall has facilities for the disabled and well appointed stage and dressing rooms.

The main purpose of the Hall is to provide a venue and facilities for community use, such use including classes, clubs, meetings and events.Use of the Hall is normally on a hire basis although it is made available to Great Alne School free of charge.

To improve the conditions of life of the inhabitants of Halsall without distinction of political, religious or other opinions by the provision and maintenance of:(a) a village hall for use by the inhabintants, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation(b) a recreation ground for use by the inhabitants

The charity runs Great Barr War Memorial Hall for the benefit of the community. It is used by clubs for their meetings and is rented out for private functions.

The Charity maintains the Lophams Village Hall for the benefit of local people by allowing the hall to be used for family events and bringing in outside providers to run events, educational courses and sports opportunities for local people to participate in.

The CIO has been formed to take over the work of Darley Memorial Hall (regd charity 503023) with effect from 1st August 2022. The trustees are actively making plans to run the Memorial Hall from that date.

The village hall was completed in 2012 and opened by HRH The Earl of Wessex on 15 October 2012. It is used on a daily basis by all age groups and by various organisations within the parish and surrounding district. There is a wide range of activities available from art, drama, dance and fitness classes to sporting activities and community events. It is also a popular venue for weddings and parties

The charity provides a clean, warm, safe space for the local community to hold meetings, social and recreation events. To deliver this, the charity runs bi-monthly meetings to review health & safety performance, budgetary position, building maintenance needs, policy and statutory compliance, customer feedback, risk assessment, and then assigns responsibility/funding accordingly

The Village Hall Management Committee oversees the running of the Aspley Guise Village Hall for the benefit of local residents and community support organisations. These include the WI, Cubs, Age UK Day Care and a mother & toddler playgroup, leisure activities including children and adult dance classes, amateur dramatic productions, choir rehearsals, various arts and local interest societies.
