SUPPORT BRAIN TUMOUR RESEARCH

We give grants to individuals raising money for charity, especially those who are giving their own time and effort.We also give directly to other charities.Our priorities are Cancer, Alzheimers, Great Ormond St, National Trust and other medical, jewish, educational, community and childrens' charities in the UK.

Grant making for the public benefit, mainly to causes known to the trustees in the fields of Christian work, disaster relief, developing countries, drug & alcohol abuse, cancer research, the mentally handicapped and young people undetaking educational expeditions.

To give help to the need and distress of people with cancer or with other illnesses who can benefit from its services, and their families and friends. It does this through counselling, healing, relaxation, diet advice and supporting therapy work. Based in an appropriately equipped centre, all its work is complementary to the treatment given by patients' own doctors or hospitals.

Supporting local Charities, examples Swindon Womens Refuge, Cancer Treatment Research at Salisbury, and Teddies in loving care in Wiltshire and many others

Coffee mornings, Social events for fundraising e.g. Ploughmans supper, Burns night etc. Christmas Cards, Beetle drive, Pudding evening, Car Boot Sale, Safari Lunch. Making breast cushions to support cancer patients. Assisting vulnerable people e.g. volunteers at Cheshire Homes, teas or lunches for elderly people.

Raise funds for various charities, local and world wide ie. Cancer Research, , Hospice's, Water Aid,Requests from local people in need, and many more causes too numerous and varied to list.

We perform extracts or full performances of the Gilbert & Sullivan operas and stage a concerts, and support local charities from our profits. Our Christmas carol concerts are always in support of the local Macmillan Cancer Trust.

Religious activities, worship, weddings, funerals, christenings, engagement groups, Reiki group. Provision of hall for W.I & keep fitness outreach to wider communities. Support for Swansea Bay assylum seekers. Support for Kasihius congregations in India. MacMillan cancer research. Coffee mornings.

DISTRIBUTES FUNDS ANNUALLY 2-4 TIMES, TO ASSIST PRIMARY MEDICAL CHARITIES AND ASSOCIATIONS INCLUDING HOSPICES, HOSPITALS WITH A LINK TO CANCER AND RESEARCH.

The choir travel to various concert venues, singing to raise money for charities such as Leukaemia & Cancer Research, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to name but a few. Travel and other costs are taken from funds that are raised by holding coffee mornings and raffles. The choir website is now up and running thus enabling the public to find out more about the choir.

GRANTS TO RECOGNISED RESEARCH UNITS IN HOSPITALS AND UNIVERSITES IN THE UK STUDYING THE CAUSATION, SPREAD AND EFFECTS OF BREAST CANCER IN THE LABORATORY AND IN CLINICAL PRACTICE

Provide help and support to people affected by cancer,particularly head and neck cancer.

ADVICE AND TREATMENT TO CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR HELPERS

Can provide assistance for a number of Charities, Masonic and non Masonic, example of someawards to organisations of late are Marie Curie Cancer Care, Bletchingley Skills Centre, 2008 Festival for Girls and Boys and the Scout Holiday Homes Trust

THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND RELIEF OF SICKNESS BY THE PROMOTION OF RESEARCH INTO CANCER AND OTHER CRIPPLING DISEASES

Small grants to charitable bodies e.g. nature & wildlife conservation,environmental protection, cancer & medical research, education and disadvantaged children

Makes grants to Registered Charities, GURU NANAK HOME for Handicapped Children and RJSP Cancer Hospital in Ranchi, India

we raise monies locally in Ventnor to give back to people in the same locality to help alleviate the hardships caused by funding travelling costs to treatments, much of which entails travel to the mainland. Please note that we only operate in the Ventnor and district area

Uses investment income to make grants to individuals and organisations falling within the charity's objects - relief of poverty or distress amongst men or women in reduced or destitute circumstances who suffer from rheumatism or cancer.

We meet as a group once a month.We enjoy informative & educational talks on a wide range of subjects & social occasions.Outings are arranged during the year and we vote on annual resolutions that our National Federation take forward and action to help raise awareness on such diverse issues as:Maternity; Equal pay; Waste & poverty; Carers; Mental Health; Climate Change; Plastic Soup; Ovarian Cancer

LEUCAN embraces families living in the area from Shoreham to Chichester with children with leukaemia, cancer or bone marrow failure. The self-help group offers comfort, support and advice, along with financial assistance to families who have unexpected expenses and travel costs. The group also organises social events to enable families to meet in informal situations.

The village hall at Chatburn provides facilities for various activities, classes are held, including Art, Yoga, and Pilates. Several organisations hold meetings in the hall, including Chatburn Parish Council, children's parties are held, and a gathering after a funeral took place. We also support the local cancer meetings and Allotment group.

Charity supports various charities principally for Jewish causes, doing work for interfaith causes, colon and breast cancer and local charities in London W2.
