Self Help Group supporting anyone in the Swindon area affected by cancer, both carers and patients

We offer the opportunity for members to attend any of over 50 groups covering any activity where sufficient interest has been shown, this can be in peoples homes or more formal venues, dependent on numbers interested. Members are welcome to lead an interest group or assist in it. Our activities range from Walking, Cribbage, Choir, Geneology, Art, Fishing, History & Psychology to name but a few.

To promote and protect the health of the public through provision of information and raising of public understanding of the nature, causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer and in furtherance of that primary object, to provide practical support to people affected by cancer and their families.

Club meets every Thursday morning in an accessible hall in Chichester and offers recreational activities of speakers, slide shows, outings and games such as scrabble, cards and dominoes and social support network. Also weekly participation in exercise sessions and access to therapeutic hand massage.

The Royce Foundation is a grant making trust, funding charitable organisations in the UK, with an emphasis on the Yorkshire region. The majority of grants are made to small to medium sized charities. The work of the Foundation focuses on the following three areas: Children and Young People facing Social and Economic Disadvantage, Mental Health in Children and Young People, and Youth Homelessness.

The aim of the Christian Blandford fund is to improve the comfort of children and their families, particularly those affected by cancer, during prolonged stays in NHS hospitals. We have worked mostly with St George's Hospital in Tooting but we have improved several other children's wards in the UK. We are now working closely with The Tesla Owners Group UK to provide mini electric cars for wards.

Running of 'Learn to Sing' type courses, singing workshops and performances to help other charities to raise funds, including: The Oxfordshire Association For The Blind, The Prostate Cancer Charity, The Oxford Story Museum and The Movember Foundation.

The Charity has adopted a policy of using its resources almost exclusively to fund rehabilitation for alcoholics and addicts who have (a) been assessed as suitable for rehabilitation and (b) for whom no funding is available from any other sources and (exceptionally) to fund life saving or life changing surgery where the NHS would not assist

Raising money to purchase a derelict village toilet and rebuild it into a health and well being centre for Silverton and its surrounding area. The main aim of this will be to provide care for dementia sufferers and their carers. In addition we intend to provide specialist treatments such as Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Chiropody and Stroke Therapy.

EKIDS provide a range of support groups for those living with dementia and their carers across Thanet and East Kent. The support groups enable carers to gain access to help and advice from the experienced former carers who run all the groups, and from healthcare and other professionals who also attend them, in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Muddy Fork helps people experiencing mental health challenges take back control of their lives through volunteer gardening & conservation in Bassetlaw (North Nottinghamshire) and surrounding areas.

The Islington Mental Health Forum liaises Royal Commissioners, views, needs of mental health , Health events, food recycle, prepare docs for court, travel to court,witness, copy and prep docs for cases. Help to those older, over 57, walks, history and museum trips. Design of art, walks asked for by elderly. Help homeless, children anti-abuse campaigns, use social media as FB, watch PO perversion

To enable people with disabilities to enjoy the hobby of amateur radio through the loan of adapted equipment and accessible training material.

The Martin Fisher Foundation was founded in 2015 to take forward the work of Professor Martin Fisher. We continue Martin's ethos of treating people living with HIV with dignity, compassion & respect, & are developing new strategies for effective HIV prevention, treatment & care. We are working together towards ZERO new HIV infections, ZERO HIV-related deaths, & ZERO HIV stigma in Brighton & Hove.

Improve physical and mental health and well-being in populations affected by disaster, poverty and lack of resources through the means of complementary therapies, training and the development sustainable community owned clinics. This includes body and auricular acupuncture multi-bed and seated acupuncture clinics as well as other therapies such as mindfulness, massage and other therapies.

SimPal combats digital poverty and social isolation in the UK for individuals with cancer, life-threatening conditions, poor health, or general poverty. The charity uses donations to provide free, pre-paid SIM cards (with data, calls, and texts), and digital devices. This support ensures vulnerable people stay connected with family, friends, and essential healthcare services.

Monies are raised from store collections, collecting tins, special events which are used to provide social occasions and other assistance to improve the wellbeing of our members

We hold an Annual ball to raise funds for the local cancer respite centres of Halton ( Runcorn and Widnes ) where we liaise with said centres as to what is required that will be of benefit to cancer sufferers,( including immediate family members) ie; complimentary therapies such as aromatherapy, reflexology, or just to provide running costs of centres and volunteer staff.

The charity promotes initiatives to improve health care -especially HIV/AIDS, Environment and Conservation and Performing Arts in Kenya.
