We work with children and young people who have a medical need providing resources, access to sports/recreation and residential visits.

The League of Friends provides support and services to patients and visitors to Spalding Hospitals. This includes fundraising for the purchase of additional medical equipment and the improvement of the social care of the patients.

The charity serves the residents of Upavon, Rushall and Charlton St Peter by providing transport and, where necessary, escort for people attending the doctors'surgery, hospital, dental or chiropodist appointments. We also help where residents require assistance in filling in forms or making appointments. Costs are covered by voluntary donations from clients and grants from the parish councils.

Providing gifts of bedding, clothing, food, fuel, furniture, useful articles and gifts of money to relieve sickness, infirmity or distress.Payment of travelling expenses of persons entering/leaving hospital, convalescent homes or similar. Supporting both adults and children who stammer by providing resources and training to Speech & Language Therapists working through the Apple House speech therapy unit based at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford. The wider dissemination of the work through a grant award scheme available to therapists throughout the UK.

We provide continuous live or recorded radio service for the enterainment of patients ,staff and visitors at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital.To engage patients in broadcast through visits to the wards,request from patients,staff,ralatives.We aim to help the patients feel part of the community,decrease feelings of isolation and contrbute to the well-being and recovery of patients in L & D area

To provide and maintain a radio broadcast service to the patients in Dewsbury and District Hospital.

Donations to overseas projects, children's hospices and various other local charities

The principal charities and/or community services currently supported are Garden House Hospice for North Hertfordshire, Mary's Meals (Uganda), Home Start , and Disaster Relief generally.

Providing donations for various good causes both locally (i.e. Senior Citizens festive parties, schools and churches) nationally (financial support for hospices, hospitals, etc.) internationally ( Eye camps, water aid, disaster funds etc.) by fund raising activities from a Christmas Float collection, easter egg draw in local pubs, annual charity golf tournament and Teddy Bear draw in local pubs.

The education of handicapped or underprivileged groups, the provision of funds and equipment to hospitals for the purpose of research and education in medicine, relief of poverty, funding the building of schools, relief of famine, and provision of Guide Dogs for the blind.

Provide support and assist with funding for global humanitarian and community projects incl: Polio plus, mercy ships, wheelchair foundation, mosquito nets, group youth exchange, the education and book appeal Ghana, equipment for local and international hospitals, tree planting, special needs schools, awards for school achievers/young person of the year, kids out etc.

Raise money for charities and distribute to charities. Work with local schools, hospitals and charitable organisations.

Broadcasting to the patients and staff of the Hinckley hospitals and health centres, plus internet streaming of the service for the social inclusion of ill, isolated and vulnerable people within the PCT area.Providing PA and hosting to Carnivals and events within the local area.

Support of the hospital at Padhar, Betul District, M.P., India in the form of financial support for agreed projects or equipment, raising and administering funds as required, occasional visits by trustees, and keeping supporters informed, recruiting new supporters

Finacial assistance, especially to the young and elderly, living in the parish of Fulbourn.This can take the form of assistance with the cost of school trips, music lessons, school uniform. Or for the elderly, help with the cost of fuel bills, transport to hospital.

Provision of grants to needy patients via social services located at bradford hospitals

The Friends of the Rosie have been in existence for the past 50 years. Our aim is to raise money to buy comforts and equipment that the NHS cannot provide for mothers and babies both in the hospital and in the district. We run stalls selling knitted goods. We can always use any offers of help and new volunteers to support our work.

WE PROVIDE A WEEKLY LUNCHEON CLUB. SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY. DOORWAY TO ORGANISATIONS PROVIDING INFORMATION TO FINANCIAL SUPPORT. ASSISTANCE WITH FORM FILLING.WE ARE ALSO THE FIRST PLACE OF CONTACT IF ANYONE HAS DIFFICULTIES NEEDING TO BE ADDRESSED. DELIVERING MEALS TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE COME OUT OF HOSPITAL AND MOBILITY PROBLEMS.

We provide money to enhance patients amenities. This last year we have provided a specialised nail drill for Podiatry dep. We provide money at Christmas and Easter. We support the concept of the hospital and continually fight for its survival.We are working with the LHB and comunity to provide a list of health provission for our rural area

Cavendish Care offers help with transport to hospital, doctor & other necessary journeys. Social coffee morning held weekly - transport provided if necessary. Various outings throughout year - seaside, garden centres, theatre, meals etc.
