Health Charities That specialise in Hospice

Our mission is to promote research to improve the care and treatment of all patients with progressive illness and to make high-quality palliative care available to everyone who needs it: be it in hospice, hospital or home. There is no other charity specifically concerned with carrying out work to identify and promote best practice in palliative care.

To support a wide range of charitable causes together with special emphasis towards contributions to the General Conference of the New Church, Medical Research, Care and Protection of Children and Hospices.

To offer emotional support and practical help to individuals with life-threatening illness and to their carers and families.

Hospice Africa provides or supports the provision of palliative care to cancer and HIV/AIDS patients in Sub-Saharan Africa, excluding South Africa.

Pastoral care of church congregations; charitable support to many organisations such as children's charities, local hospice for care of terminally ill, support for refugees and asylum seekers.

The WHPCA works through the collaboration and partnership with its member organisations to:a) Improve access to, and the quality of, palliative care worldwide b) Build a worldwide network of international and national palliative care organisations c) Provide or facilitate education and training in palliative care d) Increase awareness and understanding of hospice and palliative care

We keep the families at the centre of how we shape our services. We support babies, children and young people aged 0 - 18 living with life limiting and life threatening conditions including after death care. We help support them through activities such as, advocacy, family days, parent groups and bereavement support. We do this in the community and base our services in Buckinghamshire.

Within our area of benefit which is the Boroughs of Chorley and South Ribble and the City of Preston and surrounding areas to provide night nursing, at home, for those who are seriously ill, who without help, may have to be admitted to hospital or hospice.To give relief at night for those caring for the sickTo provide the service free.

The primary beneficiaries are 22 young adults with special needs at Casa Lumina Romania. For whom this is their home. It is a model in the region for the care of those with special needs.Children's Hospice Lumina for children with terminal or life limiting illness and base for community palliative care services in the Bacau region Romania.Working in Ukraine helping those displaced by the war

The Foundation supports the following; Social Welfare - particularly the relief of need, hardship and distress, Community Development, work which supports Children, Young People and the Elderly, local Hospitals and Hospices and Christian Activities. Grants can be one-off or recurrent and are made primarily in Tyneside and Northumberland.

The Charity makes donations for the benefit of children and other charitable causes.The Charity sponsors visits to Childrens' care homes and hospices by the theatrical group, Magical Quests.The Charity supports the Society of Friends of Jewish Refugees and the Cinematograph Trades Benevolent Fund.

TO FACILITATE AND PROMOTE THE RELIEF, CARE AND TREATMENT OF THE SICK, ESPECIALLY OF THE DYING, AND THE SUPPORT AND CARE OF THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS AND OF THE BEREAVED.TO FACILITATE AND PROMOTE THE CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES OF INDEPENDENT HOSPICES

Promotion of the Christian religion and service to the Community as part of the Church of England, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, seasonal services and responding to need eg food bank, homeless, Christian Aid. Maintenance of the Church (open each day) and Church Yard. Ministry at the hospice, university, residential homes, schools and community space in our buildings

The charity provides a centre for spiritual and physical refreshment for individuals and groups by offering short term breaks for individuals, married couples and small groups. It also provides facilities for larger non-residential groups for worship and meetings, and also conference facilities for secular groups compatible with Christian values eg, NHS trusts, hospices and many voluntary services

The provision of palliative and other appropriate care to persons suffering from a terminal and/or chronic illness within a hospice(s) or within the community with the object of improving the conditions of life for such persons.To relieve the emotional and mental needs of the patients, families, carers, staff and volunteers who assist in the care of patients.

The Trustees have identified the following areas as potential priorities for the Charity; the advancement of the Christian religion, including Christian organisations working closely with young people and the advancement of health and relief of those in need by reason of ill-health through the support for hospices providing end of life care.

Donations to local, national and international worthy causes: Hospices, natural disasters, physically & mentally handicapped persons etc.

We raise funds in the UK to support partners in the development and delivery of palliative care in Kenya. We work closely with the Kenya Hospice and Palliative Care Association and local organisatioins. Due dilligence and monitoring is carried out on all grants. Recent grant funding has been for children's palliaive care projects, gender disparity projects, home care, training & morphine.

Blood bikers are volunteers who use their advanced motorcycle skills in providing an out of hours service, supporting our NHS partners to transport essential urgent supplies such as Whole Blood, Pathology Samples, Medication, Medical Equipment, Medical Notes and occasionally Donor Breast Milk to the NHS hospitals and hospices throughout Devon and beyond.

To support a variety of activities for the benefit of patients and staff, reflecting the wide range of special purposes for which individual funds are earmarked in line with the charity's objectives.

Raise funds to promote excellence in cancer services in Carmarthenshire and co operate with other chariteis with similar aims throughout the Hywel Dda NHS Trust area.

Founded in 2009, Embracing Arts provides interactive, multi-sensory musical theatre experiences for children with special educational needs and life limiting illness. The charity works with SEND schools and hospice services to improve the wellbeing of children who have limited access to the arts and cultural provision. We provide interactive Christmas shows, Inclusive parties and School Workshops.

The charity has broad charitable objects but the trustees intend to focus specifically on the dual aims of tackling poverty internationally and advancing healthcare in the UK through the provision of assistance to hospices, respite care homes and mental health charities

The Trust is an endowed trust distributing the income in the Old Borough of Darwen in Lancashire.The Trust Deed restricts giving to the above area and to persons educated in the schools of Darwen. It can also benefit charitable organisations that benefit the people of Darwen but such grants are usually restricted to hospices and hospitals.

PENGUINS AGAINST CANCER IS A CHARITY SET UP TO COMBAT CANCER. ITS FOUNDERS WERE DRAWN FROM GUY'S HOSPITAL PENGUINS BUT NOW ITS MEMBERS COME FROM A WIDE RANGE OF AGES, BACKGROUNDS AND PROFESSIONS, ALL UNITING TO SUPPORT CANCER RESEARCH, CANCER TREATMENT AND HOSPICES. PAC HAS NO START-UP OR RUNNING COSTS: EVERY PENNY DONATED GOES TO THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER.
