Health Charities That specialise in Hospital

Basildon Hospital Radio provide an entertainment and information service to the patients, staff and visitors to the hospital. Most of our programmes are music based with our daily request shows and our weekly programme aimed at the hospital staff being the most popular. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and broadcast 24 hours per day with both live and computer-controlled programmes.

The Charity distributes various monies to support a variety of charities such as care and relief of cancer, hospitals, art, animals, church, children, lifeboats, ex-servicemen. It operates in Scotland as well as England.

The Friends run a small cafe, managed entirely by volunteers, which provides the funds to enable the purchase of amenities and equipment for all the patients who attend, and staff who work at Barking Community Hospital.

WVC provides services such as transport to medical facilities (hospital, dentist & optician appointments) and to and from social/educational opportunities.

Grants for educational purposes

1/ Making grants to Christian charities. 2/ Making grants and paying pensions to former employees of the Mildmay Mission Hospital who are in impoverished circumstances.

To providing radio programmes to the patients and staff of Worthing and Southlands hospital

Hospital radio station with a feel good sound serving Ashford & St. Peter's hospitals and also available on the internet to reach those receiving care in the community and to encourage a healthy lifestyle. We aim specifically benefit anyone in the ASPH Trust hospitals and those living in the boroughs of Runnymede, Spelthorne, Elmbridge and Woking.

The charity provides funds to Velindre Hospital to assist in the purchase of medical equipment. The charity provides support and assistance to patients to improve their comfort and welfare.

We are hosting a foot clinic. Hoping to set up team of volunteers as social services are cutting back & phone us for help. More & more people using the pop in centre for tea/coffee/chat. Offer an emercency shopping and perscription collection service on discharge from hospital or illness. Hire of wheelchairs and other aids.

Broadcasting to the patients at The Conquest Hospital. We provide a 24 hour service of a wide variety of music and spoken word and also provide patients own request programmes. We also provide a live stream of our output 24/7 via our website.

Local activities, church activities, songs of praise etc, Sunday school, local charity fundraising, local hospital support, youth organisations, mountain rescue teams, womens institute.

An unincorporated charity administering four Almshouse flats in the village of Barlborough under bequests and an original deed dated 1752. These provide subsidised accommodation for people experiencing hardship.

To apply the income of the said fund in pepetuity either to or for any one or more charitable object or objects for the benefit of members of the Armenian people in any part of the world - The income is therefore paid to the Armenian Hospital which provides exceptional and accessible health care & housing for mainly low income and elderly members of the Armenian community.

Raising money for local, national and international organisations. e.g. local schools, hospitals, hospices, Enfield Alzheimer's Association, Macmillan Nurses, Enfield Crossroads etc.Internationally, we raise money for Rotary Foundation and Rotary Aqua and Shelterboxes.The money is raised through Christmas Float Collections, Firework Displays and events such as quiz nights and charity dinners.

Self Help Group. We provide a non discriminatory service for people of all races and ethnicity within the community, providing a drop-in centre and offering spiritual & social help, general advocacy and advice, offering tea & coffee and second hand clothing. Prison ministry, giving offenders bible studies, help and advise in back into society.Hospital /Hospice visiting the sick and the elderly.

Promotion of medical education and association by fostering postgraduate medical education for General Practitioners and Hospital staff throughout Torbay

The Friends of St.Joseph's are a fundraising group,set up for the benefit of residents and day people who use St.Josephs adult services.The funds raised are to provide additional amenities and opportunities that contribute to their quality of life.

Financial /practical assistance to individual patients or family members, for example, for transport or accommodation costs. Provision of equipment not available on the NHS. Maintenance of the garden.

Provision of housing for people who need assistance

To perform choir concerts in a variety of venues from Church Halls to Churches and Concert Halls, for a variety of organisations including Charities. We have a wide range of musical styles, from 'pop' to oratorio.

RAISING FUNDS, FOR EXAMPLE BY BOOK SALES IN THE OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT AND EVENTS SUCH AS THE CHRISTMAS QUIZ AND SANTA FUN RUN. WE WORK TO ARTICULATE LOCAL VIEWS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HOSPITAL TO LOCAL PEOPLE. THE COMMITTEE MEETS REGULARILY TO RECEIVE AND DECIDE ON REQUESTS FOR THE USE OF OUR FUNDS.

The provision of awards and grants to personnel or projects within the Healthcare profession linked to Birmingham Royal Orthopaedic Hospital

Manages and lets allotments owned by the charity. Leases agricultural land owned by the charity the general relief of the poor of the parish eg. Donations to long term sickness-long term hospital treatment. Supply of fuel, clothing and other necessaries.
