The objective of the League are to assist patients both in hospital and in community settings with benefits which would otherwise be unavailable to them. The League of Friends disperses funds to help in these objectives.The League operates in the whole of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Rahere (St Bartholomew's Hospital) Lodge members donate money for various charities especially for the sick and health related charities/organizations.

Cash donations are given to residents of the village of Sampford Peverell who are in need of monetary help in circumstances ie death in family; cash towards the cost of transport to visit relative who is in hospital on a long term stay; any requests for help from villagers is carefully considered by trustees.

To mobilise, encourage, foster and maintain the interest of the public in the patients and the support of the work of Didcot Hospital by means of voluntary service. Raise money to buy equipment and sundries for Solihull Hospital solely for the purpose of the welfare of the patients. We also provide a trolley service to all the wards serving sweets confectionary and non alcoholic drinks to the patients. We also run golf days, summer fete, social functions and a sales in the hospital for the visitors on a weekly basis.

Brentford Relief in Need provides financial assistance for those living in the Brentford area to relieve poverty or problems such as special needs, sudden distress, expenses for visiting people in hospital, utility bills, furniture, bedding, clothing, food, fuel, heating appliances and expenses or items needed because of sickness or disability.

We provide music, information and visiting service to patients in hospital community as well as promoting good health and advice.

Provide transport for clients to hospital appointments, dentist, visiting friends in hospital, optician appointments,emergency shopping to clients living in the Parish of Corfe Mullen, Dorset
