Health Charities That specialise in Mental health

The Charity makes grants to persons experiencing or recovering from physical or mental ill health, to aid in their recovery or help improve their everyday lives. Requests and grants must be made via another agency, eg. social care services, health services, hospices etc. There is no direct contact between the trustees and individuals awarded grants.

We are a grant making trust. We focus on the prevention of suicide amongst ethnic minorities and mental health issues. We sponsor the Middlesex Girls Chess Championship under the aegis of Barnet Junior Chess. Most grants to West Midlands organizations.We are transferring our funds to Staffordshire Community Foundation but will continue to control grants from our trust.

Providing advice to those with mental health problems; and their carers

To promote and protect the physical and mental health of patients of the Newbury Street Practice in Wanage through1) the provision of equipment and care when not available through the NHS2) to advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to health awareness and self-management of chronic health conditions

The objective of the League are to assist patients both in hospital and in community settings with benefits which would otherwise be unavailable to them. The League of Friends disperses funds to help in these objectives.The League operates in the whole of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Offering financial assistance to people with issues with their physical or mental health, including disabilities, in Clay Cross, Holmgate, Egstow Park, Coney Green and Danesmoor, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Established to preserve and protect the good mental health of person from Vietnam and their dependants resident in the UK. Services provided include: outreach; support to users/carers; day centre; Counselling; education/information and training to Vietnamese people about mental health issues, health/social care system; publishing booklets & Health Newsletter in Vietnamese, Chinese & English.
