Health Charities That specialise in Visual impairment

YFA has undertaken a project called Global Humanity Relief Fund. In order to help the flood victims in Pakistan. We aim to build up free homes for those who lost everything in recent floods. YFA other project is Free Blind Help Fund, helps the needy, poor, blind & disabled people.

We have had meetings every week during last 18 months with the blind people on the Skype in Persian language,(we have some recording about ceremony meetings and Some question and answers)We have done lots of questions and answers for using VoiceOver in iPhone in the worldwide in Persian language at WhatsApp social media, Also we had some over phone

To relieve the needs of people who are visually impaired or partially sighted in Havering and the neighboring area for the public benefit by:1. enabling them to develop self-help skills and contribute fully to society2. presenting the interests and needs of partially sighted people and making known their needs and aspirations

Production and provision of audio editions of local newspapers to visually impaired. Production and provision of audio magazines to visually impaired. Facilities also used to convert written data to audio versions for other local charities, e.g. East Sussex Association for the Blind, Care for the Carers, etc.

Main activities are Healthcare, Business start ups and meeting basic needs. Within our first accounting period we have held eye/medical camps in association with Kenyan professionals and dispensed spectacles and eye drops. We have started a Sewing School and a computer school to offer basic instruction. With basic needs we have helped fund a toilet block, given out seed and supported a blind group

THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONGST PEOPLE WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT WHO ARE FACING SOCIAL EXCLUSION FROM SOCIETY OR ASPECTS OF SOCIETY BECAUSE OF THEIR IMPAIRMENT, BY PROVIDING THEM WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN CREATIVE ARTS, IN PARTICULAR DRAMA WORKSHOPS AND PERFORMANCES.

The free provision for the registered blind or partially sighted of recordings of a weekly talking newspaper with local news, a monthly talking magazine with topics of interest and a talking books library service.

To relieve the charitable needs of people with cerebral visual impairment and their families and carers by the provision of services, advice and support as the trustees shall determine.

To assist blind people and train young blind people to enable them to learn and enable living/ earning sources look after old blind people.

Craft Club - Tuesdays 10 am - 1 pm Principally cane work, but any other craft work is encouraged.Social Club - Wednesday 2 - 4 pm Entertainment provided by either visiting performers or activities such as dominoes or bingo.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE BLIND OR PARTIALLY SIGHTED BY THE PROVISION FOR SUCH PERSONS OF FACILITIES FOR EMPLOYMENT AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING.

To promote the relief and education of visually impaired and other print disabled people, in particular but not exclusively by improving the quality and availability of library and information services and products which provide for the reading and information needs of such persons.

To provide persons who are either permanently or temporarily blind or partially-sighted or otherwise visually impaired, weekly recordings based on the news and other items from local newspapers or other information sources, serving Windsor, Maidenhead, Slough and surrounding areas. Recordings shall be distributed through the free post facilities available under Royal Mail regulations.

WEEKLY RECORDINGS OF LOCAL NEWS FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED PLUS OTHER RELEVANT RECORDINGS.

Provides a service to blind and partially sighted people by providing audio versions of 7 news publications.

'Plymouth & West Devon Cassette talking Newspaper' creates and distributes audio cassettes of local or relevant news items on a weekly basis to blind folk in the Plymouth and West Devon Area. There are currently about 200 registered users of the service for which no charge is made.

To help Visually Impaired People in the Surbiton/ Chessington area. To hold fortnightly meetings and to arrange outings. To help with personal matters where possible.

Sporting and social activities for the Visually Impaired in Swindon and surrounding Areas, including Tenpin Bowling, Cycling, Sailing, Acoustic Rifle Shooting, and Showdown (a sport created specifically for visually impaired people). Social activities includes monthly coffee get togethers, monthly breakfast meet ups, and a monthly walk and talk.

The Ipswich & District Talking Newspaper, ("Sound On") provides regular recorded local news and information updates for people living with a visual impairment or other disabilities which limit their access to printed material, in Ipswich and surrounding towns and villages.

Provides local news on USB flash drives, online from our website and through an app. At least twice a month,free of charge to Blind and Partially sighted people in Kings Lynn and West Norfolk

Supply weekly recordings of local news, to registered blind and partially sighted in Southport and district.
