The Lymm Clothing Charity has responsibility for the management of several long standing investment endowments, dating back to the 17th century, income from these investments is distributed annually to needy residents of the parishes of Lymm & Oughtrington, subject to satisfactory completion of an application form. There is also provision for one off payments at any time for special cases.

Research into local history in the Neston and Burton areas in Wirral. Publish books on local history from this research. Hold lectures for our members and the public and arrange outings for our members. Support local history activities in local libraries and civic centres.

The Aberystruth a history and archaeology society run community archaeology projects and historical projects throughout Blaenau Gwent. We have a Archaeology for all policy and work with local schools and clubs to actively get children and adults involeved in archaeology while learning about the local history in their area. We also help to promote, preserve and record archaeology and history .

Our objectives are to stimulate interest in the village of Downton and its history, to encourage high standards of planning and to influence the preservation and improvement of historic sites and buildings in our village.

To provide and maintain a Museum for the exhibition to the public including members of the Engineering Branch of the Royal Navy of documents artifacts and memorabilia and other items connected with the Engineering Branch, for the purpose of educating the public and members of the Engineering Branch in Engineering and it's traditions from it's conception to the present day.

Within the Parish of Westbere the society aims toa) promote high standards of planning and architecture;b) educate regarding the local geography, natural history and architecture; andc) secure the preservation, development and improvement of features of historic or public interest.The society provides a newsletter and organises events and activities for its members and the local community.

Talks and activities in support of The Thetford museum. £380 spent on badge making machine and £75 for new logo design artwork in 2013.?300 was spent for free Museum trails and £250 match funding for WWI HLF project in 2014.£1000 match funding for the Duleep Singh Room in 2015.£250 for trails in 2016.£600 grant for History Club,£377 for storage boxes and £152 for Microscope all for Museum use.

Founded in 1914, to further the study of local history and publish books in which such knowledge would be available for all comers for all time. Monthly meetings held during the winter season with speakers. Also visits and guided tours locally and further afield. Free guided walks around the local Walthamstow area during the summer.

The Friends of St John's Churchyard is an independent community group formed in 2005 to promote the restoration, preservation, development and conservation of St John's Churchyard, Great Marsden, Nelson, Lancashire. In addition, the group aims to encourage public involvement and an understanding of the history and heritage of the churchyard.

Ruiton Windmill Preservation and Development Trust is a registered charity that manages Ruiton Windmill in Upper Gornal, which is a listed building of historical significance and a great resource of the local community. The charity looks after the Windmill and rents out the facility to a number of groups.

To further knowledge of the genealogy, heraldry and family history of Daltons all over the world and to embrace all those who bear the surname Dalton in its many variants.

The Fernhurst Archives handles numerous enquiries,many requiring extensive research by the archivists; has published notelets; held exhibitions; oral history recordings; Researching non-listed but 'interesting'houses; recording and listing graves; collecting 'Facts on Fernhurst' for publication. Our programme of walks and talks continue to create interest for our membership.

We:- Foster and promote interest in local history (Fleckney Leicestershire). Hold Monthly meetings on historical topics. Organise displays by local community groups. Organise and maintain a museum. Acquire and document items to be added to the museum collection and make these available to the general public. Organise and maintain a website.

Researches and interprets the history of Ruddington through public lectures, publications and a museum.

We are not active at the moment - no premises available. We are still in negotiations with the Shepton Mallet History Group and our understanding is that they expect to merge and take over. Maintaining and sailing two preserved sailing vessels a Humber Keel (Comrade) and a Humber Sloop (Amy Howson) We also supply information to schools on the working history and attend maritime festivals to promote the awareness of these vessels.
