THIS SOCIETY ENJOYS MONTHLY MEETINGS FROM SEPTEMBER TO THE FOLLOWING APRIL, WHICH ARE ADDRESSED BY GUEST SPEAKERS TALKING ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC OF LOCAL INTEREST FROM AN HISTORICAL POINT OF VIEW. WE ALSO ARRANGE DAY EXCURSIONS TO PLACES OF INTEREST IN THE SUMMER MONTHS.

Preserving the history of Soham and educating the public through a variety of constituent groups and activities: A regular schedule of talks and events, an on-line archive collection of Soham photographs and documents, local history classes, exhibitions and publications, practical digs and cataloging of finds. Regular coffee mornings, fetes, jumble sales and christmas fayre.

Furtherance of education, advancement of the Christian religion within the Parish of Selling, promotion of the education of the children of Selling, promotion of the mission of the Church of England, promotion of historical research into the Battle of Trafalgar and the flags.

The charity carries out an educational function, organising meetings related to local cultural and historical themes. It also publishes local history booklets.

MAKES GRANTS TO OTHER ORGANISATIONS (MUSEUMS, GALLERIES, SCHOOLS, CHARITIES) TO ASSIST THEIR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES THROUGH EVENTS, TALKS, RESEARCH PROJECTS RELATED TO WIDENING ACCESS TO APPRECIATION OF HISTORY AND PRACTICE OF FINE AND APPLIED ARTS IN CORNWALL.

Educational trust, established in the late 18th century which provides grants to young persons under 25 years of age who are resident in the County of Wiltshire, but with a preference for those residing in the town of Devizes and who are in need of financial assistance.

The society works to preserve and protect the history, heritage and environment of the village of East Preston (West Sussex) and the surrounding area.

Visible Women UK is dedicated to reclaiming the erased legacies of women in Dorset, whose achievements were historically overshadowed by a male-dominated narrative. We honour these forgotten women by uncovering their stories and commemorating them with permanent monuments. Our goal is to restore their place in history, ensuring their contributions are remembered respected and never forgotten again

To advance for the public benefit education and interest in history, particularly but not exclusively, that of Otford and its surrounding district.

To provide, and promote a public museum containing a collection of artefacts, a library of books, video and audio tapes illustrating the work of the Royal Observer Corps and associated subjects such as aircraft recognition, The Royal Air Force, Home and Civil Defence. To provide facilities for the education of students and interested persons by using the collections for research and local history.

Educational talks are given about Charles Rolls and the 1910 International Aviation Meeting.Annual commemorations are held around 12 July; the date of Rolls fatal crash at the Meeting.A heritage sculpture has been installed at Hengistbury Head incorporating interpretive panels.The Trust provides a unique historical archive for research purpose.The Trust sponsors specific school projects.
