Hermitage River Projects aims to promote knowledge and understanding of the Thames, its history, its ecology and the communities using it; to undertake educational initiatives that increase understanding of navigational and boat handling skills; to undertake cultural initiatives that promote and celebrate river heritage; and to encourage the use, preservation and restoration of historic vessels.

Monitor planning applications relating to Hythe to ensure high standards of planning and architecture . Carry out regeneration projects in neglected areas within the Town , working with the Town and District Councils.

Nailsea Tithe Barn Trust exists to foster a strong sense of community around the magnificently restored medieval Tithe Barn. The Trust organises cultural, social and recreational events for all members of the Nailsea community including working with local schools to widen the awareness of the Barn's history by offering teaching and learning opportunities at the Barn.

The Friends of Margam Park objectives are to conserve and enhance Margam Country Park, protect its natural beauty, raise the parks profile, increase public awareness and work with the Local Authority as well as other appropriate organisations. The Friends provide walks and tours with an historical interest, in the summer months together with other activities on a voluntary basis.
