The charity raises funds to support the research, preparation and writing of the Victoria County History of Wiltshire. It raises funds by seeking donations and organising fund-raising events.

The society continues the service it began over 30 years ago. 6 groups offer help and support in researching family history in each of the areas covered by the Society and informational talks and group meetings are offered throughout the year. 10 help desks are run in conjunction with local libraries over a 50 mile radius. A vastly improved website is now available to both members and non members.

Provision of a community library, information service and IT resources as part of a multi service facility within the Derwent Valley. We provide opportunities for volunteering, an adult readers book club, activities for children and their families/carers, a local history/family history resource, talks and events of literary and local interest, a craft group, meeting rooms for the local community.

The hall is a social focalpoint for the people of Ketteringham Village. We hold two main fundraising events each year namely a Village Christmas party and a Village Summer BBQ. The income from these events provides the main running costs with the remainder made up from letting the hall to the History club, and other local organisations.

Descendants work primarily but not exclusively with children and young people age 4-18 of African and Caribbean descent,their parents and carers. At Wsha Kurdish Supplementary School, we are a charity aiming to educate our community and pass on Kurdish culture, history and language to future generations.

The MSRG aims to increase public awareness of settlement history across AD400-1500 in the British Isles through publication, seminars and conferences. It aspires to influence national policies on recording, preserving and excavating medieval rural sites. The group is open to amateurs and professionals with interests in these aims. It offers small grants for fieldwork and conference attendance.

The role of the Friend's of St Mary's Church Orlestone is to raise money for the upkeep of St Mary's Church. As the church, dated as 11th to 13th century, is a distance away from the main village it is not considered a convenient venue for village worship. We the "Friends" fought to keep the church going by providing money for maintainance and limited worship.

RARP was established to encourage and advance the wider understanding of the Russian avant-garde through the scholarly application of art historical and technological research. In furtherance of this aim RARP makes grants to suitably qualified individuals and institutions engaged in the field so as to enable them to undertake high-quality research that may not otherwise be eligible for funding.
