A charity interested in and dedicated to the history and preservation of artefacts associated with Gosport & Fareham Omnibus Company and associated companies from 1878 to the present day. We undertake activities such as archiving, vehicle rallies and rent secure storage for our historic vehicles. We also produce a range of history books and a quarterly magazine The Provincial Press.

As the history National Curriculum does not teach the full importance of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade on Britain and Africa. Memorial 2007 mindful of its educational role plans to institute an annual memorial lecture beginning in 2016. This will advance the understanding and knowledge of the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade and its repercussions on Africa and the Africa Diaspora.

We promote research, discussion, field studies, talks, publications, exhibitions, and other activities relating to the local history of the village and parish of Aldbourne and to further the education of the public of all ages in these respects. As part of this effort we manage the Aldbourne Heritage Centre.

The object of the Army Records Society is to edit and publish manuscripts relating to the Army and to reprint works of military interest.

Friends of Coverham Church (FCC) helps to look after Holy Trinity Church in Coverham, Coverdale, North Yorkshire. Activities include maintenance of the church and churchyard, as well as organising events (concerts, plays, local history talks, etc) open to the general public.

Collection of information and artefacts concerning the history and development of hot air/ gas ballooning and airships in the UK, to provide displays and written material.

The Society promotes the study of labour history by: production of a journal, Labour History Review; holding and sponsoring conferences; bursaries for postgraduate speakers at such conferences; bursaries for (doctoral-level) research and BA/MA dissertations in labour history; grants for conferences and public events in labour history, especially if targeted at a wider audience.

Local history society

Recently the association has continued to refurbish and redevelop the 1905 old post office to transform it into a new heritage and research centre. The association also continues to research local history topics, publish books, and hold popular slide shows, talks and social events to raise interest in local history and support the building project and the charities aims.

Burry Port Town Band is a traditional brass band located in Burry Port. The band was founded in 1896 and has a rich and proud history. The band organises a number of concerts, fundraising events and also supports community & charitable organisations across South Wales and relies on donations and money raised. We also have a Junior Band.

Organises walks and talks, carries out surveys and research into the natural history of the region, publishes two journals annually, the Avon Bird Report, and Nature in Avon, supports other conservation activity in the region.

Founded in 1973, The Deepings 1090 Round Table meets fortnightly and is currently 14 members strong. Throughout our 35 year history, we have raised significant sums for charity with over -ú100,000 being raised in the last 10 years alone.
