Acts as an umbrella group to support and facilitate contact between groups and individuals interested in local history and archaeology. Publishes a quarterly Newsletter, booklets and an annual list of speakers and leaders of walks; organises an annual local history study day; organises volunteers; offers schools prizes and small grants for local history research; liaises with local authorities

The society works to safeguard and add to the natural and architectural beauty of Lyme Regis and to promote interest in the towns cultural life and history.

Witham U3A organises and operates interest groups in a wide range of subjects provided via the expertise of Witham U3A members and lectures by visiting speakers. Subjects such as History, Genealogy, Appreciation of Architecture and Natural History and Music are included together with recreational activities such as walking which designed to improve and maintain member's physical wellbeing.

The purpose of the Charity is to educate, familiarise and provide assistance for research into the history of the development of small arms, including anti-armour and mortars. The collection includes the Travers Library which is over a 1000 books of military history and small arms associated equipment and ancillaries.

The Charity runs the annual summer Fete, which helps to get people together in the surrounding areas of Pershore, Evesham, Tilesford. The WI plays an important role in the life of the local community. The speakers at the monthly meetings cover a wide range of subjects: travel, healthcare, cooking, arts,crafts and history. Outings are arranged to places of interest. We also cater at many village events. We take a great interest in current affairs and have mounted national campaigns.
