The Western Front Association was formed with the aim of furthering interest in the period 1914-1918. It is not a re-enactment society, nor is it commercially motivated. It is entirely non-political. The object of The Association is to educate the public in the history of The Great War with particular reference to the Western Front.

During the year the Society held a series of public lectures, organised visits of interest to the membership, continued work on regular publications and continued to monitor developments at its various sites and elsewhere in South Yorkshire.

The Charlbury Museum and Heritage Centre collects, displays, and maintains artefacts, archives, and photographs relating to the town of Charlbury, and assists research into its history, for the benefit of local people and the wider public in general.

We are active in all matters concerning Belgravia and its community. We produce a monthly Newsletter reporting on our activities to around 600 members. We are concerned with history, conservation, planning, education and anything which affects our community. We respond extensively to public consultation on matters concerning our community

The Committee meets every 4 weeks (approx) with a planning group discussion and comment forum. There are reports on our local historical heritage buildings, future Civic Trust activities, Trees for Burnley, further additions to our Blue Plaque scheme and awards to outstanding developments and renovations to which our attention is drawn - both by the members and the public. Military history - First World War - Education and training for the general public.

To assist in the restoration, preservation, improvement, maintenance and conservation of Dockroyd Graveyard and to advance education in the graveyard and understanding of the history and heritage of the graveyard.

Llangoed Flower Show is an annual event celebrating the flowers, vegetables, cookery, arts and crafts created by makers of all ages. Hosted for over 50 years in the historical Llangoed Village Hall, it brings together all those within and beyond the Seiriol ward on the Isle of Anglesey.

The Oxford Historical Society publishes archives, historical texts, and bibliographical tools about the history of Oxford (both the City and the University) and about the neighbouring villages & towns (following the boundaries of pre-1972 Oxfordshire). To date it has published 149 volumes, most of these dating from Georgian and earlier periods.

The object of the Society shall be to provide the advancement of public education in the archaeology and local history of Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill and Loughton in the County of Essex, together with the surrounding area.

Warboys WI have provided 11 meetings for members. Talks have been on Travel, Food security, Culture & Sport history, Gardening, History and Environmental issues. We continue to hold Craft meetings, Walks and games afternoons. Members have also taken part in the County events throughout this year.

To advance public education in and to encourage study of local history through lectures and visits, to provide a focus for the collection of records, documents, photographs and other materials concerning the locality, to record this systematically and to make it available at a suitable place in the village for the benefit of the communities of East Leake and District.

To advance the education of the public in the heritage of St. Osmunds Church and Osmington Parish, by providing information on its history and architecture.

Art History in Schools advances education in the field of Art History, in particular but not exclusively by providing training, support, curricula and materials to those teaching in schools, colleges and other educational institutions. AHiS is preparing the curriculum, teaching materials and CPD for the new A level syllabus, as well as enrichment programmes and primary school workshops.
