Providing educational and cultural activities for the elderly ( over the age of 55) who are no longer in full time employment. The activities consist of lectures, seminars, classes and visits to the theatre, museums and other similar culture attractions.

Our Museum offers an insight into the history of Perranzabuloe Parish via permanent and changing exhibitions. We operate a Friends scheme and fundraise via a number of social events throughout the year with the help of our Management Committee and other volunteers.

Local History Museum

The Society organises an annual series of lectures, usually held in Leicester New Walk Museum, for the advancement of education in Literature, Science and the Arts. It publishes proceedings and supports the museum. Natural History and Geology Sections organise further events. The Society has close links with Leicester, De Montfort and Loughborough universities and Leicester City Council.

Environmental, conservation and heritage concerns of Amersham Old Town and its historic environs to promote:- the town's prosperity and vigour by guarding its character and amenities by monitoring planning and the environment;- community spirit by organising lectures, visits, newsletters and a website;- interest in and the study of local history, including through support of Amersham Museum.

To establish and maintain a Fashion Museum (FM) and Fashion Collection Archive in Bath; to facilitate the development, management, conservation and care, documentation, presentation and interpretation of the collections held at the Fashion Museum, for the benefit of the public; to encourage, promote and educate the public in fashion through its support of the the Fashion Museum and the collection.

The Pompey History Society undertakes research projects on the history of Portsmouth Football Club. It educates through regular stadium tours, writing/publishing, delivery of lectures/seminars and the PHS web-site. It collects memorabilia either from donations or purchases and safely archives and digitises collections before presenting/exhibiting them in both virtual and physical museums.

The charity runs The Museum of Ryde, a museum of records, articles and artefacts relating to the history of Ryde and its people. The Museum of Ryde also incorporates the Donald McGill Postcard Museum, dedicated to the postcard artist.

We make available through our heritage museum artefacts the history of Ventnor and the Undercliff. The public can view our exhibitions, carry out research etc. Our archives now total over 10000 individual items. We also give lectures, film shows etc. Our aim is to inform, educate and promote an interest in local history.

We collect, conserve and display items of historical interest from Witney and the surrounding area. We have an extensive collection of photographs. We are compiling a collection of oral recordings from the local area. The museum is totally run by volunteers. We are visited by individuals, schools, local groups and organisations.

Furtherance of public interest and participation in singing. Running of 'Learn to Sing' type courses, singing workshops and performances to help other charities to raise funds, including: The Oxfordshire Association For The Blind, The Prostate Cancer Charity, The Oxford Story Museum and The Movember Foundation.

The maintenance of the museum of the Royal Dragoon Guards and antecedent regiments, including the acquisition and preservation of historical artefacts.
