Croydon Contacts is a small charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Croydon to enjoy social activities in their local community. We run various events for members, staffed by volunteers & trustees, supported by carers & families. Events include Board Games; Bowling, Cinema & Lunch clubs; Summer day trips to local museums & parks; visiting local pantomimes & shows.

Assisting with the educational purposes of museums etc in Oxfordshire including promoting cooperation,training and fund raising.

TUESDAY DROP-IN 11AM TO 2PM CLASSES IN ICT, YOGA, DRESS MAKING, KNITTING, MENDHI AND OTHER CRAFTS, ENGLISH AND LITERACY SKILLS AS MANY MEMBERS DO NOT HAVE ENGLISH AS THEIR FIRST LANGUAGE, VISITS TO SEA-SIDE, MUSEUMS AND SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS. SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES WITH EXTRA CLASSES.

Hold a monthly lecture/talk from October to April, open to both members and public. Summer outings to places of historical interest (on hold 2024-25). Run Bridgnorth's museum, which is open from April to October.

Fund-raising for and support of Mere Museum

We provide grants for: Creative arts teaching, subject talks and classroom resources. Christmas entertainment and presents. Library books, Maths resources, assembly resources, travel to educational visits, leavers prizes and School trips to museums, Panto and theatre trips. We continue to help the school with expenses that the education system don't fund but will enhance pupils learning.

The museum is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and exhibition of the art, skills and dedication that goes into delivering some of the world's most successful Films and TV Shows. We save artefacts and props, making the available for everyone to see and enjoy, whilst telling the story of their creation and the people who helped to revolutionise the way we see films today.
