The CIO encourages its members to promote a wider knowledge of the educational and cultural importance of Bede and to support the values of scholarship and innovation as promoted by the Anglo Saxon monastery of Wearmouth/Jarow as continued today at the World According to Bede Museum or its successors known by any other name and/or to promote the legacy of the Venerable Bede generally.

The Trustees are responsible for the management and control of the Bentlif Collection at Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery and the use and control of the Galleries under their auspices.

The preservation of items of military historical importance to the Sussex Yeomanry

To preserve the collection of medals, records, archives, memoirs (both written and oral), uniforms and equipment relating to the regiment known as The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment within Maidstone Museum, St Faith's Street, Maidstone, Kent, and in order to assist with enquiries about and research into the regiment's history, and to educate the public thereon.

The group brings people into the borough's main museum, Cyfarthfa Castle, for regular meetings and lectures, to promote interest in the museum and gallery, and in cultural and industrial heritage. MTMHG donates items or gives grants towards purchases for the borough's museum, gallery or heritage projects.

Provision and management of the Worcestershire Yeomanry Museum. Primarily concerned with the preservation of items and historical records relating to the Worcestershire Hussars (Yeomanry) for educational purposes.

To advance the education of the public in the operational/engineering aspects of the Panavia Tornado aircraft and its place in UK aviation history through the provision of a museum for its display and to exhibit documents, items, artefacts and other materials related to the Tornado; and to preserve and protect the Panavia Tornado aircraft for the benefit of the public

Activities relevant to Archaeology in the area of Richmond-upon-Thames, providing monthly lectures and also a variety of practical activities such as surveying of the Thames foreshore on behalf of the Museum of London

Members of the seven main faith groups in Northampton work together to promote respect, understanding and friendship. Recent activities include an exhibition at Northampton Museum, a series of 'Question Time' events, a Faith Walk as well as participating in the Northampton Umbrella Fair, international Women's Day and various other local events.

A public history project to record share and celebrate women's stories from East London's history

Maintains Browning Museum. Our library also has information on British Social History, including the Settlement's campaign for the introduction of an Old Age Pension in the UK in 1908. Religious, social and community work among all age groups including the sick, the healthy, the physically disadvantaged, the lonely and distressed. Free counselling and legal advice bureau available.

By repairing and maintaining Chapel Bay Fort using volunteers and through fundraising activities, the advancement of education by acquiring, housing, exhibiting and conserving, restoring and repairing objects and collections of educational material.

The trust aims to collect as much information and artefacts as possible in connection with the Kennet Valley area during World War II. This is put into the museum at Littlecote House, Hungerford, Berkshire. The intention is use the information, artifacts and displays in the museum to help educate all age groups and nationalities to the history of the Kennet Valley in WWII.

We assist with the purchase and maintenance of paintings and object d'art, and with financial support to museum events, museum projects, both capital and revenue, as requested by the Museum Team and agreed by the majority of Committee Members. Support of a restored industrial heritage working museum at the site of the Lion Salt Works in Marston, Northwich, which was the last working open pan salt works in the UK and is now a scheduled monument. Also education by the interpretation of the history of the site and former proprietors, the heritage of salt making in Cheshire and elsewhere, the science of salt and related products.

Supporting local community projects for eg adults and children with special needs ,the local museum, Borehamwood Dementia Club, an art exhibition by local schools. Presenting awards to primary school children for work in the community or at school.Contributing to Rotary's International projects such as Mary's Meals, Shelterbox, Save a Child's Heart, Life Straws, Falconer Trust - Zambia.
