Home-Start is a vountary organisation that supports families with at leat one child under five in their own home.

We work in Bihar; one of the poorest and remote areas of India where we support over a hundred villages in which we establish education centres, provide teachers, support for orphans and widows, clean water supplies. Our education centre houses students from poor families and all expenses for food, studies, books, accommodation, pocket money, etc are borne by the charity.

Gateway Church meets for worship and teaching at the Gateway Centre. It also runs activities for the local community such as: drop-in cafe for over 65's, parent & toddler groups, an after-school club, community nursing service, debt advice services & the distribution of food from York Foodbank. BSA has a focus on improving the quality of peoples' lives by helping them to live independently in their own homes, reduce social isolation, loneliness and assist with individual support with weekly activities such as lunch clubs and fitness groups.

An Almshouse charity offering general sheltered housing for the elderly (aged 60 and over). The accommodation comprises 35 self-contained flats with on-site warden based on one site in central Hull, East Yorkshire.

We collect donations of unwanted furniture from the public and help people on low incomes with affordable furniture. We supply people who have been homeless and are setting up a new home with a free furniture pack. We divert good usable furniture away from landfill.

PROVIDING HOUSING FOR THE HOMELESS YOUNG WOMEN.

The branch supports animals in need in both Conwy and Gwynedd in North Wales. We provide subsidised veterinary services for eligible clients at our welfare clinic in Llandudno Junction and as a partner of the RSPCA North Wales Mobile Clinic. We also support the local Inspectorate to rehabilitate and re-home animals and operate a charity shop in Llandudno to help finance our work.
