Housing Charities That specialise in Accommodation

The charity was established in 2003 to help those people who were struggling to remain local in the West Somerset and Mid-Devon regions. It has grown steadily and now owns 20 properties all tenanted to local people on low incomes in need of accommodation at a reasonable rent.The charity continues to provide financial assistance to local person(s) in extreme financial need.

1) REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF ALMSHOUSES FOR DESERVING POOR PERSONS WHO ARE RETIRED SEAMEN, WIDOWS OR DAUGHTERS BEING NOT LESS THAN FIFTY YEARS OF AGE.2) BENEFIT OF THE OCCUPANTS OF THE SAID ALMSHOUSES.

Asian Elders' Resource Centre provide drop-in advice & information centre and a day care unit. The centre is for any older person who is 50+, frail or disabled. We also provide training courses, health & well being, social interaction, leisure activities and promote independance. Advice on pension, housing and welfare rights is also given.

ORU PAANAI FUNDS 391 SCHOOLS IN NORTH SRI LANKA TO PROVIDE A MID DAY MEAL FOR OVER 43,000 CHILDREN. THE SCHOOL PREPARES A MEAL OF RICE AND VEGETABLES FOR ITS STUDENTS. THE RICE AND LENTILS ARE PROVIDED BY THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME. THE HELP WE GIVE ENABLES THE SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE A WHOLESOME AND PALATABLE RICE MEAL TO THE CHILDREN WHO LARGELY COME FROM HOMES LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LINE.

To provide training and support to all those living and working in low-income communities across the UK to develop their skills, confidence and capacity to tackle problems and reverse poor conditions and for the promotion of all other such things as may be beneficial to the community as may be charitable under the laws of England and Wales particularly in relation to housing matters.

Works with Newfrontier Christ Central Churches and Stafford Churches. Provides Sunday Services in Barnfields School including Worship and Bible Teaching and childrens groups. The Gateway Building houses the church offices administration and youth Leaders. It also provides rooms for Youth groups and Drop-in activities for the elderly, and other users such as Chinese language classes.

The charity works to advance the Christian gospel and to support and aid people with disabilities, primarily in the Republic of Moldova where we run four small community homes for up to six disabled people.

Advancing the Christian faith, in the Borough of Havant and elsewhere, by proclamation of the Christian Gospel, teaching of Christian principles, pastoral care of Christian people and distribution of the Bible, Christian literature, media products and other resources.2. Relief of people in conditions of financial need, or who are infirm for reasons of age, ill-health or disability.

The charity collects donated household goods from the local area (around Shrewsbury), refurbishes &stores them as necessary before selling them on at extremely low prices to those in need within the samelocal community.

Excel Women's Centre is a dedicated charity to improve Health & Wellness of Women and their families in Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs by providing information, advice and guidance in areas of Welfare, Housing and Health, Skills and Training and employability, homework club, Sport activities and User led Community Wellness Cafe with leisure and social activities

The animal rescue charity provides sanctuary (safe haven) throughout the UK for all animals whether domesticated or wild. Without exception, the prevention of suffering and preservation of life is paramount. The ultimate objective is to re-home or re-habilitate. Operates save a dog (SAD) campaign to rescue dogs facing euthanasia from Uk dog pounds.

Promotion of the Christian religion and service to the Community as part of the Church of England, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, seasonal services and responding to need eg food bank, homeless, Christian Aid. Maintenance of the Church (open each day) and Church Yard. Ministry at the hospice, university, residential homes, schools and community space in our buildings

ÔÇó We inform and develop new writing through a programme of educational workshops, events and seminars open to the general public. Our continuing education programme allows writers to share skills with schools and others in the community. We encourage new writing from untapped sources and who are socially excluded by being home bound or underprivileged.

Project for Orphans of Kinshasa (PROKIN) began in April 2000 in Kinshasa, Africa.Prokin is an orphanage for abandonned street children. These children receive education and material help in a loving home. They are taught about God and the way of salvation through his Son the Lord Jesus Christ. They also learn skills to prepare them for adult life.Prokin is financed entirely by donations.

Free therapeutic counselling. Free condoms, pregnancy testing and Chlamydia screening, range of information and agents for local Food bank, services for those in the old Daventry District, South Northants areas of West Northants. Counselling is STRICTLY by appointment and we DO NOT provide emergency services. We work with those aged 13-18-up to 25 with a SEND. We don't offer home visits.

The Charity provides additional benefits for the St Clement Danes Church of England Primary School and financial assistance to former pupils who are in further or higher education or learning a profession who have not yet reached the age of 25 years. After assisting the above any residual income may be allocated to young people under 25 years whose family home is within the Diocese of London.

Home-Start Blackmore Vale helps build better lives for children. It supports isolated, struggling and vulnerable families either in their own homes, or through group work. The family must have a least one child under 5 years. The support enables them to cope with difficulties through a network of trained volunteers who work with the family according to their individual needs.

Peasholme Charity addresses poverty and social exclusion for vulnerable people in and around the city of York who are experiencing or heading towards 'crisis ' (lacking shelter, security or an ability to sustain oneself). We work to achieve our aims by offering specialist one-to-one support services which provide advice, guidance and signposting with respect to housing, benefits, finance and debt.

Home-Start North East Worcestershire works in the areas of Bromsgrove and Redditch Local Authorities with families who have a child up to the age of eighteen. The charity provides volunteers and support workers who support the whole family. Work undertaken is done in conjunction with both statutory and non-statutory organisations in the area.

Provide affordable housing for island residents. Deliver projects for the benefit of the island and its residents. This includes environmental and heritage projects.
