The main object of the Society is to preserve and enhance the character of the parish of Chedworth, and to improve its appearance and amenities. This remit embraces many aspects of Village life, including historical interest, conservation, environmental concern, planning and housing development, and provision of amenities. The Society also promotes a strong social calender.

The provision of extra comforts and amenities not otherwise provided from the rates for the residents of the Homes for the Aged knows as Sunnybank, Narberth and Cilwendeg, Boncath.

PROCLAIMING THE CHRISTIAN GOSPEL BOTH AT HOME AND OVERSEAS.

To provide holidays for poor, sick or deprived children resident in the London borough of Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, Havering and Newham.

The object of PAWS is the relief of domestic animals suffering from sickness, maltreatment or poor circumstances.PAWS will also assisst with feral animals wherever possible, particularly with trapping and neutering. Where possible, PAWS will seek to provide temporary accommodation for unwanted or homeless animals, at least until such time as a suitable, permanent home can be found.

Housing

Assisting and providing relief for mentally handicapped people(and their carers) in the Harlow District and surrounding area. This may involve group/personal outings, home visits or advice.

To provide premises suitable for use as and for a holiday home for the benefit of renal patients. To provide for patients and their families ameneties at the home for convalenscence and recuperation or change of environment

Fund raising for school resources.

Provides social activities and organises outings, weekend activities and holidays for disabled adults living in Greater London who would otherwise be isolated in their own homes. Funded entirely by donations, grants and members own fundraising and contributions. Run by Kathy Bryan for the last 25 years who is herself disabled and was awarded the MBE in 2008.

NET INCOME TO BE APPLIED TO THE CATHEDAL COUNTRY HOME

To support members of the former Staffordshire Regiment and members of the present day Mercian Regiment. This support will mainly be in the area of sports and recreation for soldiers and help to families' activities when the soldiers are away from home on operations or training.

Lending wheelchairs and other basic equipment to people in their own homes.

We try to bring parents/carers together with staff to contribute to the education and wellbeing of pupils at Hampstead School. We do this through:(a) regular meetings and activities like coffee mornings where parents/carers can meet with staff to discuss school issues; (b) supporting school events by selling refreshments; (c) organising social/fundraising events;(d) newsletter/web info
