The objects of the CIO are to relieve people who are in need by reason of homelessness through the prevention, reduction or alleviation of homelessness and the causes of homelessness and by the creation of sustainable communities primarily in but not limited to the East of England by the making of grants, delivery of services to those in need, the creation of sustainable communities etc.

We do this by action - encouraging communities to take control;support - helping the most vulnerable within our community (e.g. ex-offenders, homeless, people in recovery, people with physical or mental health conditions, etc.);resource - helping groups with governance, funding, etc.volunteer - promoting and using volunteers to initiate change

The charity activities include drug and alcohol rehabilitation, residential support / dispersed housing support in the community and a drop-in-centre for homeless people. Equally, it provides social enterprise, supporting people back into employment. It also educates the public about addiction and social exclusion.

Ark Resettlement Services is a charity dedicated to reducing reoffending across London. ARK supports and houses ex-offenders on release from prison when they are at risk of homelessness. We focus on individuals who are marginalised, most excluded from other services and who need support to meet their basic human needs, and stability to address their offending and/or substance use.

The KEY Project provide a range of support services to disadvantaged young people in South Tyneside. Dentaid The Dentaid Charity provides outreach dental services and oral health programmes for people experiencing homelessness, harm, poverty and abuse. In the UK, the charity has mobile dental units with clinicians providing life-changing care for those experiencing health inequalities. We promote the interests of asylum seekers and refugees, and support initiative to ensure they are welcomed in Wales and are given protection and support. We provide advice and support for refugees, focusing on preventing homelessness.We provide paralegal advice and support for women seeking asylum.We run play development sessions for the children of refugees and asylum seekers.

999 Club supports people facing homelessness in South-East London. From our Deptford base, we run the Gateway day centre; a Women's Sanctuary; housing, employment and benefits advice; the MovePlus mentoring scheme; and The Bridge mental-wellbeing programme.

SIFA Fireside is the main day centre for homeless and vulnerably-housed adults in Birmingham. We provide a range of services to prevent homelessness and to support adults who are homeless or vulnerable by meeting their immediate and long-term needs.
