Provides 2 Almshouses for needy cases in the parish of Trusham Devon

MANAGEMENT OF ONE ALMSHOUSE

Receives Investment Income and requests from Social Services, Doctors Surgeries and local Schools for financial assistance to families or individuals who need financial support.

W.I. is based on the ideals of fellowship, truth, tolerance and justice. To improve and develop conditions of rural life and advance the education of women in citizenship in public questions both national and international, in music drama and other cultural subjects plus instruction and training in all branches of agriculture handicrafts home economics health and social welfare.

Provision of Almshouses to residents of the Parish over 50

To advance the education of pupils in the school by developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and by engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which supports the school and advances the education of the pupils.

Provide accommodation within two one bedroomed bungalows to needy villagers.

WE RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT VARIOUS PROJECTS WHICH THE SCHOOL WISHES TO UNDERTAKE, PARTICULARLY LARGE CAPITAL PROJECTS. WE ARE ALSO A HOME SCHOOL FORUM AND WE ARRANGE SOCIAL EVENTS WHICH PROMOTE THE COMMUNITY OF THE SCHOOL. BY DOING THESE WE AIM TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF THE CHILDREN OF THE SCHOOL.

Undertake activities to enable women interested in issues associated with rural life, to improve their education in citizenship, public questions, music, culture handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare and to improve rural life.

Provides accommodation for vulnerable/low income adults.

This partnership of staff, parents, and friends organises social events, as well as raising money for various projects to assist the school.

Provision of accommodation (Almshouses)

An almshouse with 2 units to provide accommodation for the elderly in need in the village of East Peckham

In general, the village hall is an asset available to all who live in Ridge. It is used for parties, meetings, clubs and group activities; it also runs classes for adults with learning difficulties and houses various dance classes.

Fundraising within our area alongside the school. Funds raised are used to benefit the children through donations to school funds and activites to enrich the school experience.

Provides buildings, facilities and open space.

The provision of grants for nursing equipment,nursing books and leaflets,patient aids and food parcels.

Provision of housing Three Almshouses

Minor decoration and repairs have been carried out to wooden fences and guttering. The cavity walls have been insulated. Trees pruned.

Housing for the elderly

Continues to fulfil the objectives of the Trust, i.e. to support the poor, aged and infirm.
