The Thirtle Harvey Memorial Home holds investments and makes grants to other charities, in particular, Hastings and Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind.

Maintain 17th century almshouses to provide accommodation for Bakewell people in need or hardship.

The provision of housing accomodation for beneficiaries and such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents as the trustees decide.

Holding fund raising events to raise funds for school equipment

To provide living accommodation for 'needy and necessitous persons resident in the township of Easingwold', North Yorkshire

The charity provides some of the land and buildings on which the King Edward V1 College operates.The charity has limited resources but will consider small grants to assist persons resident in the locality in pursuance of educational projects at home and overseas.

Steeton male voice choir gives concerts mainly in its own area but also in other parts of the country and abroad. It performs in a wide variety of concert halls, cathedrals & churches but also does concerts and workshops in nursing homes & schools.

Administration of 6 almshouses for persons of limited income over 65 years of age

Provide housing accommodation to elderly in Nelson

Provision of accomodation for persons who qualify as almspeople under the terms of the trust deed. In the absence of qualifying almspeople the trustees may rent houses to others who the trustees consider deserving.

Reference Section A14b 202, the Charity helps elderly and needy people principally of the Parish in the first instance,

Grants given to 16-24 year old students for education/training, including fees, books, equipment and official travel projects. Applicants' home residence must be in Glos. Students who have come to county to study are eligible if funding is made available to Lumbs Educational Foundation for the purpose in any particular year.

Village Hall available to hire - used mainly by regular groups - This includes:- Young @ Heart Group, Badminton , Short Mat Bowls, Rackheath Players, Band Practice, Line Dancing, Dog Agility, Home Educators and Bird Auction - also available for private hire.
