Housing Charities

We run various activities and events in order to raise funds for the ongoing provison of additional educational activities for the school, thus supporting the enhanced education of our children.

Educational activities in Armenia and Artsakh by sponsoring schools; support welfare programmes in the devastated earthquake area and for homeless refugees; aid/renovate hospitals and educational institutions.

The Charity's purpose is to help students under the age of 25 whose home is in the area of benefit and who are in need of financial assistance to meet the costs of their further and/or vocational education including social and physical training.

Maintenance and upkeep of Ladies Lodge Almshouses, and help toward energy and other costs for residents.Yearly payments to incumbents of some local churches.Collection of annual rent for farm land at Totternhoe.Grants made to people in neighbourhood of Dunstable, to relieve hardship.Grants to local organisations or instutions which provide facilities for those in need.

To provide Accommodation/ Housing for people in need, in the local area.

Provision of housing for age 60+ local residents

We run a converted listed building in the village of Newburgh in West Lancashire as an Almshouse Charity. There are 6 flats, 4 of them with bedroom and living room, 2 with bed-sitting accommodation. all with shower/toilet and kitchen. The residents are primarily elderly people with strong local connections. At times also younger residents needing local accommodation to support elderly parents.

The Charity owns 2 Almshouses. Both are a 1 bedroom house. One occupied by a single person and one by a couple. The Trustees' responsibility is the upkeep of the houses and welfare of the occupants.

Provision of housing for elderly residents of Stonehouse.

Covent Garden Community Association is the active, representative voice of Covent Garden, speaking for the residents and working population in this busy area of Central London. It is the recognised amenity society, consulted by Camden and Westminster councils on planning and licensing applications, public realm, environmental issues, housing and community safety matters.

Fundraising/Community Events

The Charity provides relief for people residing in the parish of Souldern who are in need, hardship or distress. It provides some housing accommodation, can make grants and can provide goods or services.

Charitable works in Kirton area

The Charity's income is to be applied for the benefit of residents in its almshouses. The residents shall be poor persons who are inhabitants of Sunderland.

Provide housing to assist the needy who meet the criteria outlined by the charity. The charity and its trustees has responsibility for two Almshouses within the Crowhurst, Lingfield, Surrey area.

To grant pensions to spinsters and widowed ladies of not less than 40 years of age as the Trustees select for this purpose and to assist such poor girls who are preparing for, entering or engaged in any trade, occupation or profession by the provision of tools, books, payment of fees, travelling expenses or such other means which will fit them to earn their own living or advance them in life.

The principal object of the Trust is the advancement of the Christian faith. This object may be fulfilled [but not necessarily exclusively so] by providing care and comfort of elderly or disabled people especially such as belong to the "Household of Faith" (Gal.6:10) including providing a home for them. The Trust may also engage in other charitable activities.

All monies raised for our charity account is used to help people in need. People needing financial assistance also other organisations at home and overseas.

The objects of the Charity are to promote charitable institutions of the church of England in the parish of St Mary and St Giles and to purchase and hold a property as a home for the Assistant Curate of the parish by virtue of their office. After property maintenance, any funds may be used at the Trustees discretion for the benefit of aforementioned charitable institutions.

Administation and letting of two almshouses

MAKES GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS RELATING TO ACCOMMODATION AND ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO THE PURCHASE OF BUILDINGS, FACILITIES THEREIN AND OPEN SPACE

Provision of 3 self contained flats for elderly people

The provision of residential, respite and day services in a therapeutic community for people with special developmental needs, which can include life crises, mental health problems, an/or learning disabilities, however, the registered care home run by the charity has now been closed.

We makes small grants to charities with a turnover under £300,000 per year . We support UK charities who work with and support groups that are radically disadvantaged: refugees and asylum seekers, substance abusers, offenders and ex-offenders, at risk and marginalised young people, people in insecure housing.
