Leisure Charities That specialise in Gardening

Regular monthly talks on gardening and horticultural subjects which are open to all members and the general public. Three shows are held each year

conservation Education(cookery,craft,gardening etc) bursery offered to members.

The charity provides grants to other registered charities and organisations, primarily to assist with projects of a horticultural and eco-friendly nature. The Trustees do not make grants in response to unsolicited applications nor to individuals.

The holding of up to 2 shows annually for the exhibiting of sheep, poultry, horses, dogs,horticultural produce, handicraft and domestic science and other rural activities and pursuits for the advancement of agriculture and horticulture in the parish of Cornwood and surrounding area

Provides local parisioners with allotments for cultivation of fruit and vegetables and grazing paddock for local recreational livestock.

Provision of open space for the pursuit of allotment gardening within Shaftesbury, Dorset

We are an Horticultural Society, holding monthly meetings with two shows a year.

Supplying items of equipment for residents of the hospital who require more specialist items/ to improve their stay e.g. Special Beds, Chairs, Televisions, Electric fans, Telephones, Christmas presents. Gardening services (planting, maintenance etc)Providing a Trolley shop service to the residents three times a week.Raising funds by public activities (Ploughman's Lunches, Carnival stall)

To provide a comfortable residence for male adults with learning disabilities. Supplying facilities to give a feeling of being able to contribute towards the upkeep of the establishment by their particicpation in horticultural activities, animal husbandry etc. To offer opportunitiedsto take part in local community activities. To develop the resdient's personal skills and awareness.
