It gives its members the opportunity of working and learning together by providing a wide range of leisure and learning activities. We work together to improve the quality of life in the community and to enhance the position of women by developing their skills and talents. We influence decision makers at all levels and are consulted by Government on major matters of social concern.

Sports & recreation. i.e. Football and other ball sports. Community activities, e.g. annual fete and bonfire.

The relief of persons who have suffered a stroke; by holding regular weekly meetings for members and providing entertainment, therapy (speech, games, art, craft and exercise), social enjoyment, celebratory events, outings and excursions; also holiday vacation assistance and carer relief in special circumstances.

Works closely with sports clubs and sports organisations in the Haslemere area to promote community benefit through sport and in particular with the provision and development of sports and recreational facilities in the area in the interests of social welfare.

Provide village hall for use by parish for social and recreational purposes.

Community council provides recreational facilities, a community hall and cemeteries. The charity relates only to the memorial gardens and hall. The community council makes grants to organisations, not the charity.

To provide facilties for education, recreation and social activities for the benefit of elderly people living in Lower Gornal or its surrounding areas.

Managing the running of the hall,which is available to the local residents, clubs, associations,and churches for events,meetings,education,and recreation. To let the hall to out of village parties to generate income to insure the upkeep of the hall,and enable disadvantaged groups to have the hall for free or at a reduced rate.

The provision of facilities for business and recreation

Play area/recreation.

The recreation ground and the included play area are maintained by trustees for the benefit of residents, visitors and guests. There is a small football pitch with goalposts, a basketball net, playground and a large open area. There is a small pavilion and toilet. The ground is great for childrens parties, playing outdoor games and having fun.It has easy access and parking.

To advance the education of young members to provide,and promote the provisions and facilities, for recreation and other leisure time occupations, being facilties which will improve their conditions of life and will assist in the developmet of their spiritual and mental capabilities, self reliance and individual responsibility.

The aim of the youth club shall be to help encourage and educate girls and boys through their leisure time activities so as to develop their moral, physical and mental capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and worthwhile members of society and that their conditions of life and prospects may be improved.

THE CHARITY OPENS THE CENTRE TWO DAYS PER WEEK AND WELCOME VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE TO COME ALONG FOR LUNCH AND TO SOCIALISE. WE HAVE AN ENTERTAINMENT DAY EVERY LAST THURSDAY IN THE MONTH.

Objects of the charity are providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for recreational or other leisure time occupation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Hoby and the neighbourhood thereof with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.
