The prime objective of the choir is to promote the enjoyment of the Welsh choral tradition through its rehearsals and performances. This involves skills development and enjoyment of singing for members and entertainment for the wider community. In addition, the choir raises money for agreed charities.

Churt Village Hall is run and maintained to provide a focus for the local community to meet its social and recreational needs. A variety of activities are undertaken principally by and for the benefit of members of the village. However, the Hall is open to and embraces wider usage from the surrounding populace and elsewhere.

We are a Uniformed organisation following the styles and ideologies of the Royal Navy teaching Teamwork, Leadership, Personal Care, First Aid and so much more

Advancing education and social welfare through providing and managing a community centre for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of primarily benefitting the inhabitants of Whipton, Exeter, and those individuals accessing the clubs, groups and utilising the centre as a venue. At present, regular groups using the hall include music, art and social clubs, groups supporting needs.

The trustees administer and maintain a building for the use of by local charities, organisations and inhabitants of Wilton and the surrounding areas for such activities as fund raising, meeting facilities and recreational purposes.The work of maintaining a booking diary, keeping accounts and daily maintenance and upkeep of the facility is undertaken by the trustees with the help of a caretaker.

The Unit exist for the benefit of its cadets who are aged 10 to 18 years. Our activities are educational and recreational. The recreational activities are mainly water based sailing etc. The cadets are able to take part in courses at HM Naval Bases.

We work with Church Crookham Junior School to provide funds & support for both educational and recreational activities and equipment.

To provide services which otherwise are not provided by other organisation/agencies in form of cultural and social activities. We promote cultural activities, sports, education, elderly luncheon club & recreational activities. We work with people who are under represented within the main stream to bring awareness and confidence by providing and promoting different events.

Our Village Hall provides space for a wide range of activities for the people of Penruddock and district. The hall is 110 years old next year. It occupies a central position in the village. We have gained four grants and two legacies this year to continue the plan of improvements. This will form the remit of the Management Trustees looking ahead into 2015. The Hope Memorial Trust, founded in 1932 operates a 32 bed self catering hostel near Keswick in Cumbria. It provides facilities which enable schools, youth groups, community groups, and families to benefit from the educational and recreational opportunities provided by the Lake District.

The Burgh Village Hall is used by the community for village activities ie indoor bowling, luncheon club, sports activities etc and the recreation centre is used for local bookings ie bingo, meetings etc
