During the year the building was used by many of our members to facilitate birthday and funeral receptions, amongst others; and by various community groups to facilitate theatre practice, accounts training and Quadrille dancing; and variously for the social entertainment of our members, particularly our seniors. The institute building hosts such activities as line dancing and ballroom dancing as well as being available for private functions such as parties. The charity also has extensive sporting facilities and has teams which compete in various local leagues for football, cricket, tennis, pool, darts, snooker

The advancement of the education (including spiritual development) of children below compulsory school age and the provision of facilities for recreation in the interest of social welfare and to improve quality of life and to provide for all children without discrimination a safe and satisfying pre-school.

SLGSOBA (UK) supports the educational development of its alma mater, through scholarships, grants, sports for leisure time occupation, IT equipment to help in the development of the pupils knowledge of computer and internet. To create and deliver projects with strong enterprise nature for sustainability.
